So this is a neat one – spicy stright noodles. It’s also going to be the 1400th episode of Instant Noodle Recipe Time! I’ve been doing the show for a while now – I remember when I thought that it would be an incredible investment of time to do a video for each instant noodle I reviewed. Turns out if you do things very low-tech, it’s really not. I’ve been releasing an episode of the show every single day for a long time! But enough about me, let’s give this fancy Japanese variety a try!
Itsuki Kumamoto Red Spicy Ramen – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). The infosheet on this one mentions it’s meat free, but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodles in 500ml water for 3 minutes. Add in powder sachet and stir. Finally, add in liquid base sachet – stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added narutomaki, chashu, egg, mung bean sprouts, spring onion, and sesame seed. A wonderful straight noodle is married to a lush and flavorful tonkotsu.
