Yep – I’m at it again. Who hates pizza? Maybe if you only ate crummy pizza every day for months, sure – that guy would. But I don’t make crummy pizzas, I make interesting ones that are really quite nice to behold and chew on. Today’s pair are no different. I’m using the noodles and sauce as a base for two ‘south of the border’ inspired new varieties from Samyang Foods. Thanks go to Samyang Foods for sending samples as well as MH from the Ramen Junkies group for sending some too! Let’s check out what happens when new Buldak meets pizza!
Buldak Habanero Lime & Quattro Pizza Party!
The Video
Behold the music! The fanfare! The pizza!
The dough
- 4 cups AP flour
- 1 1/3 cups water
- 2 tsp yeast
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp sugar
Bread machine, set to dough, yada yada. Here’s the bread machine I have – mine’s an older model which I got at a thrift store for $27!
For the Buldak Habanero Lime version, make as it says on the package. Roll out your dough and put in a pizza pan. Spoon enough of the liquid onto the crust as you like. Add on noodles. I added 5 colossal shrimp, mozzarella, then a little cilantro.
For the Buldak Quattro, same as above – make as directed. Spoon the sauce onto the crust and add noodles too. I added carnitas on top, then mozzarella. Here’s the carnitas I used – probably have to have Amazon Fresh to get them, but if you do, you gotta try this stuff.
Ready to hop in the oven. What’s the tiny one? Well, the dough recipe always makes way more than needed – too much is preferable to not enough. This little pizza has marinara, salami and mozzarella – for my daughter Mimi.

Finished (click to enlarge). Shrimp and cilantro really complimented this one. The cheese of course slightly mutes the Buldak sauce flavor, but really not too much. It’s a nice balance.

Buldak Quattro Pizza
Finished (click to enlarge). Wow, now this one was really quite good. The noodle has a nice cheese flavor and is milder in spiciness. The carnitas really went well – almost like a cheeseburger pizza should taste but different. Really liked this one a lot.

Thanks for checking this out – it’s a lot of fun to experiment, and I really like sharing these things I’ve been trying out. There will be more in the very near future
