Found this (as well as review 4275) over at H-Mart the other day. I swear Menraku just keeps coming out with new varieties constantly – it’s pretty hard to keep up with but that’s fine – the more the merrier. This is made in Japan but for the US market. Flaming hot, eh? Let’s find out.
Menraku Japanese Ramen Flaming Hot Miso – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains fish. To prepare, add in sachet contents and fill to line with boiling water, cover for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
A sachet of soup base.
A sachet of garnish.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added mung bean sprout, sesame seed, spring onion, narutoimaki, chashu, and soft egg. The noodle hydrated pretty well – very good. The broth was kind of a miso with a strong pepper extract bump. It’s got a nice heat to it, but feels like a bit of a trade-off for taste. At least the broth looked nice. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars.
