Here’s another interesting one, this time from South Korea. Really no clue what the ‘black’ entails, although there’s another one of these bowls that says ‘red’ on it. Let”s give it a try.

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free, but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything in and fill to line with water. Microwave for 4 minutes at 700W. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried beef, spring onion, and sesame seed. The udon was as expected – soft and thick. The broth was definitely unique. Very sweet and hints of cacao alongside a bonito kind of flavor. Not my favorite. 1.25 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8809054402615.
