The last two days of reviewing have been particularly grueling. The kitchen has been pretty warm even before boiling any water; super humid. Not used to it and it’s really quite uncomfortable. But I will continue on of course. Well, the last one of these I tried was really quite odd and so having gotten three varieties in all, I thought I should trudge onward and do the other two. I’m really quite curious what a spicy Mongolian bowl will taste like. Only one way to find out.
Simply Asia Spicy Mongolian Noodle Bowl – United States
Detail of the cardboard outer (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add vegetable and noodle to bowl. Add sauce and 2 tbsp water. Cover loosely with lid and microwave 90 seconds. Let sit an additional minute. Finally, stir and garnish. Enjoy!
A pouch of fresh noodles.
A big sachet of sauce.
A sachet of dried vegetables.
A garnish sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion and sesame seed. Easy to cook, hard to stomach. The noodle was alright, but the flavor was really concocted from some place which I don’t believe exists in any way shape or form other than this bowl. Like spoiled pineapple juice and tomato oddity land. I just don’t know who I am or what kind of world I live in anymore. 0.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 854285000893.
