Okay so first off, a big thanks to A-Sha for sending one of these! Second off, this is a very premium box. Within are noodles, sauce/seasonings, and then some very fancy extras. This box retails for $199. Yeah – that’s a lot. I often tell people when they’re sick there’s nothing better than noodles. Well, that’s maybe if you have influenza. This box however is if you have affluenza. Read on and see what is within!

A-Sha Crazy Rich Ramen – United States
Under the lid, you are greeted with a statement (click to enlarge).
The instructions sheet (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle block for 5 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents and mix well. Add ‘a generous spoonful’ of Truffleist Truffle sauce and toss noodles. Drizzle noodle with Truffleist Truffle oil. Finally, dust with 24k gold flakes and enjoy!

They come in a little paper drawstring pouch – I thought it would be good to dump them into the container.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added homemade chashu, scallion, sesame seed, and raw egg yolk. The noodle is absolutely my favorite style of Taiwanese dry noodle – nice and broad with a chewier vein along the center and thinner edges. The flavor without the extras is top notch – nice sesame scallion going on here, augmented with dried scallion. When the Truffleist sauce and oil is added, it takes on a different flavor. I was somewhat curious if these additions would bring on too much saltiness, however that was the case. It’s really tasty – you get a lot f black olive flavor our of the truffle sauce. All in all, a gourmet experience and quite nice. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
