Here’s an interesting one from Japan found in a Zenpop box – check out zenpop.jp and use the coupon code RAMENRATER for a discount!
Here’s what they had to say -‘Shigoku no Ippai (至極の一杯) is a series of cup noodles produced and marketed by Myojo Foods, first launched on August 6, 2018. Koku Kuro Tonkotsu Ramen (コク黒とんこつラーメン) are flat noodles fried in oil and are medium to thin in size. The “Kokuuma no Shizuku” (special black garlic oil) that comes separately with the “Kuro Tonkotsu” is not exactly the common grilled vegetable garlic oil, but rather a blend of pork fat and aromatic oil. The impact of the grilled garlic is smooth and not too intense. This cup of ramen has its own charm, and the amount of toppings was perfect for such a fairly big cup noodle. Enjoy it one slurp at a time!’
I’m sometimes a fan of black garlic oil, sometimes not. I’m more than happy to find out on this one – let’s check it out!

Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp, pork, and chicken. To prepare, fill to line with boiling water and cover for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
Loose bits and seasoning from the cup.
A liquid sachet that was affixed to the lid.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added soft egg, chashu, mung bean sprout, spring onion, sesame seed, and shichimi. Noodle was pretty good. Broth has a nice tonkotsu flavor – slightly thinner in consistency than I like Black garlic oil was a nicety. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902881414944.
