Found this at a store in Seattle called m2m Mart – an offshoot of HMart. Actually, my wife saw it . It looks really neat and I’m a huge fan of rapokki – instant ramyun with tteokbokki (rice cake tubes) and a spicy sauce. Made in Korea, packaged for the US market. Let’s do it to it!
Dongwon Rapokki With Spicy Sauce – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains fish and shrimp. To prepare, rinse rice cake and drain. Bring 500ml water, rice cake, and sachets and bring to a boil. Add in noodles after it comes to a boil and cook 5~6 minutes more. Finally, stir and enjoy!
A package of noodles.
The tteokbokki.
The sauce sachet.
A sachet of spring onion flakes.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, mung bean sprouts, spring onion, sesame seed, crushed red pepper, and kamaboko. The ramyun noodle was excellent – nice gauge and chew – tteokbokki was very good as well. The broth/sauce was tangy, sweet, and spicy. The included spring onion flake was perfection. This is one of my favorite Korean dishes, and they represented it well. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8801047416470.
