I was contacted recently by a woman named Michelle over at www.homiah.com – a website specializing in the flavors of Indonesia, singapore, and Malaysia. She asked if I’d like to try some of their products and of course I’m all in on that. So this is the first of three reviews I’ll be doing – stay tuned for the other two. The products are gluten free and as I’m writing this after trying this red curry, so far so very good. Let’s cook some red curry!
Homiah Malaysian Red Curry / Laksa Noodle – United States
Here’s the Malaysian Red Curry – there are two pouches of the paste in here.
Here’s the back of the package (click to enlarge). Looks tro be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, what I did was put a sachet of red curry paste in a pot and added coconut milk and simmer for a while. On the side in another pot I boiled water and cooked some of the laksa noodle, and drained. I put the two together and it was enjoyed!
Here are the noodles – five blocks of rice noodle.
Coconut milk!
Finished (click to enlarge). Added Dodo Fish and Shrimp ball, Homiah Sambal Crisp, fried onion, scallion, sesame seed, crushed red pepper, and mung bean sprouts. This is good stuff – really savory red curry that is very thick and goes well with the Laksa noodle provided. Glad the package contains two sachets of the curry paste and it’s definitely getting a second visit by my face. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 850033377002.
