I can’t remember where I found this but I’m stoked. I never find anything from the Philippines I haven’t reviewed which is weird since instant noodles are so popular over there. You might be wondering what is this pancit canton – well, think mi goreng; extremely similar. What’s that chilimansi?! Well, it’s spicy and calamnsi – kind of like a lime. Okay with that out of the way, let’s give it a go I’m stoked!
Quickchow Instant Pancit Canton Chilimansi Flavor – Philippines
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle block for 2 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dry base sachet.
A dual sachet of soy sauce and seasoned oil.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added chicken, scallion, sesame seed, and crushed red pepper. Noodle is great – standard small portion though. The flavor is great – strong citrus, a bit of saltiness, and a little heat. It really reminds me of tom yum to be honest; but different. Excellent stuff. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
