A couple of years ago, I got some neat samples from Kung Food of Taiwan – they made the Taiwan top ten and were the #1 newcomer to the list that year. Today, I’m revisiting them, and they’ve got a particularly interesting sticker on their packs! I’m not sure who the other guy is on there, but that’s me on there as well – looks pretty cool! Anyways, this is really great stuff – let’s see if it’s changed.

One of the three packs in the big bag.
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge).
A bloock of wide Taiwanese dry noodle.
A dark liquid sachet.
Looks like an infused oil.
A sachet of goose oil.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried egg, sesame seed, and scallion. Wow – the noodle has just the best texture – very chewy. The flavor is a soy and spicy which isn’t too much of each, and the goose oil provides a decadent richness I thoroughly enjoy. I think something has been done since the last time I had this. Whether it has or not, it’s really quite amazing stuff. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 4711106930028.
