Here’s an interesting one from Japan found in a Zenpop box – check out zenpop.jp and use the coupon code THERAMENRATER for a discount!
Here’s what they had to say ‘Here’s the 3rd and last Pokémon ramen we got you this month: a soy sauce-flavored cup (しょうゆ味) that children can eat like a snack, with a cute kamaboko and a bonus sticker to collect. The chicken and pork flavors are combined with the umami of seafood (scallops and shrimp) to create a mild soy sauce flavored soup for children. Toppings are simple and tasty, with a combination of Pikachu fish cake (kamaboko, カマボコ) and corn.’
Sounds interesting but usually these disappoint me. Mind cracked open – let’s try.

Loose bits and seasoning.
Oh?
A Jolteon sticker (click to enlarge).
Finished (click to enlarge). Added spring onion, sesame seed, mung bean sprout, and chashu. Noodle was pretty good – very old school. The broth was a sesame and shoyu flavor which I liked. Kamaboko was just a texture thing but not bad. 3.75 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4901734024057.
