Massive thanks to Pher Engi of Australia for sending this as part of a huge haul of Indonesian varieties. Another from this range is in the 2023 Top Ten global list. They both used to be available in the United States, but not anymore – which is very sad. They really should bring these back… Special noodle, excellent flavor. I’ve not reviewed this is years and years so with new packaging heralding their 50trh anniversary, away we go.
Indomie Mi Instan Mi Keriting Goreng Spesial – Indonesia
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Unsure if it contains meat – check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle and vegetable sachet contents for 2 minutes. Drain. Add in remaining sachets. finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added chicken, sweet chili sauce, fried egg, spring onion, fried garlic, and crushed red pepper. This is some spectacular stuff. The noodle cooked quickly and has a nice gauge. The nature of the noodle is that it really combines with the dehydrated vegetables so well to give an excellent mouthfeel. The flavor is a super savory, lightly spicy and incredibly tasty mi goreng with nice sweetness as well. I really wish they’d bring this one back to the US market – it’s just that good. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 089686040647.
