Here’s what they had to say about this one – ‘Looking for a noodle dish that’s just the right amount of flavor and portion size? Look no further than the “Lightly Odashi Ga Oishii Donbei” series! These mini-sized bowls have a “lighter” taste than the regular “Donbei” and are perfect for those who want just enough without feeling too full. And now, get ready for a spicy twist with the new “Nissin’s Lightly Dashi ga Oishii Donbei Spicy Chige Udon”! This dish features a double soup of pork and clams, mixed with the rich and spicy flavors of kimchi. And the chewy udon noodles add the perfect texture to this delicious bowl. But that’s not all – it also includes ingredients like scrambled eggs, red chili peppers, wakame seaweed, and green onions for a colorful and flavorful finish. This is the perfect dish for anyone looking for a light and easy-to-eat “Jjigae Udon” that’s great for seniors and women. So grab a bowl and enjoy the perfect balance of taste and portion size!’
Pork, clams and kimchi… Sounds interesting – could go either way. Let’s give it a try.
Nissin Assari Odashi ga Oishi Donbe Umakara Chige Udon – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains pork. To prepare, add in sachet contents and fill to line with boiling water. Cover 5 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
The udon block.
A sachet of powder base.
A vegetable sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added kamaboko, mung bean sprouts, sesame seed, shichimi, kimchi, spring onion. Udon was actually a little better than what I expected which I like. The broth was as well – not super great but the kimchi flavor to it was appreciated. Lot sof seaweed. Probably the best of the Donbei range IMHO. 4.75 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902105278888.
