Here’s the second of the new varieties of MyKuali’s new stuff, the other being their Black Curry. If you’ve never tried any of MyKuali’s offerings, you really owe it to yourself to do so. The flavors of Malaysia are simply more than you’ve probably ever experienced in the United States; bright, strong and truly wonderful. Surely, you’ve heard of mi goreng, but here’s a little on the term mamak from Wikiedia –
In Malaysia, Mamak-style mee goreng is prepared and sold at Mamak stalls around the country.[2] The word mamak is from the Tamil term for maternal uncle; in Malaysia and Singapore, it is traditionally used an honorific to respectfully address shopkeepers or proprietors of dining establishments. Mee goreng mamak is often associated with Indian Muslim cuisine offered at Mamak stalls, and is regarded as a fusion food that incorporates Chinese yellow noodles with seasonings and spices typical of Malay and Indian cuisine.[2]
Malaysia and Penang in particular is a real melting pot of flavors – from Malay to Indian, to Chinese, they all take part in the food culture which springs forth the the jewel of Southeat Asian food culture. Let’s cook this one up!

Right now, we’re in a pretty crummy financial situation and hoping that some of the fans will be able to help out. Big thank you from all who have already!!
