Think I found this one at 99 Ranch Market. I’ve had a few Lanzhou beef noodle instant varieties before. Let’s see how this stacks up.
Galanlang Lanzhou Noodles – China
A distributor/import sticker (click to enlarge).
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge). Looks to be meast free but check for yourself. To prepare, soak noodle in boiling water 3~5 minutes. Drain. Add everything in and fresh boiling water. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A large liquid base sachet.
Pickled radish or daikon I believe.
A large liquid soup base.
Dehydrated vegetables.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added crushed red pepper, scallion, and sesame seed. Noodle is chewy, yet slick which gave me a strange mouthfeel I didn’t like so much. The broth is oily with a tangy flavor which was odd as well. Just not my favorite Lanzhou. 2.5 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6957110700204.
