Definitely found this at 99 Ranch Market. They’ve had a ton from this brand lately. Time to cook!
I’ve been reviewing instant noodles since 2002, doing episodes of Instant Noodle Recipe Time, The Chocolate Break with my wife, Professional Mukbang, Unboxing Time With The Ramen Rater and more. Right now, we’re in a pretty crummy financial situation and hoping that some of the fans will be able to help out – a lot of bills, loss of some resources, and ongoing illness have all contributed to being a perfect storm which is very hard. Big thank you from all who have already!! Please check the link here for details – thank you.
Hezhai Lo Mein Pepper Chicken Flavor – China
A distributor / import sticker (click to enlarge).
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add noodle block and boiling water for 4~5 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
The noodle block.
A large liquid base sachet.
A smaller liquid base sachet.
A garnish sachet – scallion and sesame seed.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion, sesame seed, and crushed red pepper. Noodle came out pretty good and the sauce was wet enough to not make it overly dry. Unfortunately, it had a strange smoky flavor and a ton of Sichuan pepper that really overwhelmed. Included garnish worked, but didn’t save it. 2.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 6971105771086.
