This is a variety that used to be available in the United States, however this and a couple other have disappeared from our shelves here over the years – and it bums me out. Bring them back, please! Rendang (/ˈrəndɑːŋ/ REN-DUNG; Indonesian pronunciation: [rənˈdaŋ]) is a Minangkabau dish. It is a rich dish of meat that has been slow cooked and braised in a coconut milk seasoned with a herb and spice mixture until the liquids evaporate and the meat turns dark brown and tender, becoming caramelized and infused with rich flavors.
…and it’s really great stuff! Seriously good stuff. If you have an Indonesian restaurant nearby and you take beef, you should give it a try. Let’s cook it up!

I’ve been reviewing instant noodles since 2002, doing episodes of Instant Noodle Recipe Time, The Chocolate Break with my wife, Professional Mukbang, Unboxing Time With The Ramen Rater and more. Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Unsure if it contains meat but check for yourself. To prepare, boil noodle for 3 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried onion, sesame seed, egg, crushed red pepper, and scallion. Noodle is a very standard gauge and soft. The flavor though is a nice savory, sweet, and spicy combination which is the hallmark of the Indomie Mi Goreng range; this variety in particular is so good. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
