Well folks, this is the last of the Trader Joe’s stuff I had. Honestly, these pouch noodles and sauce bowls have been surprisingly decent. The only problem are the bowls – you can’t just cut it up and scan it before you use it – rather irritating for yours truly, however my issues with the bowl itself probably aren’t an issue for 99.99% of those eating this. Let’s see how the garlic one is.
I’ve been reviewing instant noodles since 2002, doing episodes of Instant Noodle Recipe Time, The Chocolate Break with my wife, Professional Mukbang, Unboxing Time With The Ramen Rater and more. Right now, we’re in a pretty crummy financial situation and hoping that some of the fans will be able to help out – a lot of bills, loss of some resources, and ongoing illness have all contributed to being a perfect storm which is very hard. Big thank you from all who have already!! Please check the link here for details – thank you.
Trader Joe’s Garlic Sauce Thai Noodles – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in noodles and sauce. Cover with lid and microwave at 1200W for 90 seconds. Stir. Replace lid and microwave 30 seconds. Let stand 2 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle pouch.
A large sachet of soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, crushed red pepper, and spring onion. Noodle came out good as usual – thick and light on the chew. The flavor though was severely lacking. Granted, it was very garlicky, however it just fell flat on it’s taste besides that. Disappointing, compared to the others in this range. 1.0 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 00627443.
