Here’s something very different – this is one I’ve not tried before, and it’s a soupy version instead of a dry pan mee. Let’s see what Mum has in store!
Meet Mee Mum’s Pan Mee – Malaysia
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains anchovy. To prepare, boil noodle for 6 minutes in 500ml water. Add in soup base sachet and stir. Finally, garnish and enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added fried egg, coriander, spring onion, crushed red pepper, and tomato, Noodle is great – flat and broad with a nice tooth. The broth has a slight sweetness and a great fish flavor. The anchovy and fried onion garnish work very well. Wish things were thicker in the broth department, but I don’t think that’s the plan of attack here. All in all, quite nice. 4.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 9551014320154.
