Here’s one that was sent by Pher Engi – thanks again! I’ve tried Hot Gulai Chicken varieties in the past and been quite enthralled – here’s a little background on Gulai from Wikipedia –
Gulai is a class of spicy and rich stew commonly found in Indonesia,[4] Malaysia and Singapore. The main ingredients of this dish are usually poultry, goat meat, beef, mutton, various kinds of offal, fish and seafood, as well as vegetables such as cassava leaves, unripe jackfruit and banana stem.
Gulai is often described as Indonesian curry,[8][2][9][10] although it is also considered a local dish in Malaysia and Singapore. Gulai is a common name to refer to curry dishes in the country,[1] although Indonesian, Malaysian, and Singaporean cuisine also recognise kari (curry). In Javanese-Surinamese cuisine it is known as guleh.
Sounds good – let’s give it a try!

A distributor / import sticker from Australia (click to enlarge).
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in sachet contents and boiling water to fill line. Cover for 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
The noodle block.
A dual sachet of soup base and chili powder.
An oil sachet.
Looks like fried onion.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added funky fried egg, canned chicken, fried onion, spring onion, crushed red pepper, and sesame seed. Noodle was a little disappointing – in fact it all was and I just realized why. This isn’t mi goreng – it’s not supposed to be drained. Oof. I haven’t done a lot of reviews lately so I guess that’s my excuse. Served this way isn’t the way to go. No wonder I was about to complain how salty it was. Hopefully I can get another one. Crap. No score given due to incorrect method. EAN bar code 8992388121267.
