Here’s one that came by way of James from Lakeside, California – thanks again! He saw me mention that I don’t get a lot of Vietnamese varieties and sent a couple and this is one of them. This is a spicy beef flavor variety – curious… Let’s give it a try!
Miliket-Colusa Mi Bo Cay Han Quoc – Vietnam
An import/distributor sticker (click to enlarge).
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, Boil noodle and vegetable sachet in 500ml water for 4 minutes. Add in remaining sachets. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A sachet of dry soup base.
A chili powder sachet.
The vegetables sachet.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added mung bean sprouts, holy basil, crushed red pepper, and sesame seed. The noodle is really quite good – thick and chewy. The broth is rich, a little spicy, full, and with a good oiliness. I can pretty safely and assuredly say as far as standard Vietnamese variants go, this is about the best I’ve had yet. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8934579128020.
