Here’s the second of the three varieties that Yoko Street sent me – thanks! This sounds quite interesting – curry! I’m a curry junkie, so I have high hopes. Let’s cook it up!
Yoko Street Curry Chicken Udon – United States
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains chicken. To prepare, add sachets to boiling water and cook 8 minutes (unless they say ready to serve). Add curry sauce to a bowl with noodles and mix. Finally, top with toppings and enjoy!
One of two servings of udon.
A serving of the curry sauce.
Pickled daikon.
Ah! Broccoli!
The chicken.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, flower fu, and scallion. Udon is just right – not too soft and nice wide flat gauge. The sauce is definitely perfection – not too salty and the right amount. Pickled daikon is paired so well; crisp and sweet. Yellow pepper is a nice touch, broccoli tasty, and chicken perfect. Honestly, this is what I’ve always wanted when it comes to a Japanese curry udon – sheer perfection. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. No bar code.
