Here’s one that came in a Zenpop box – here’s what they had to say about it – ‘Soy and tonkotsu in umami harmony. The QTTA series is beloved in Japan for the warm, satisfying feeling you have after eating it. People let out an “aaaah! That hit the spot!” and continue their day a little more positively than before. Sporting an elegant purple fit, this cup is no trick and all treats, so don’t sleep on it!’
Definitely like tonkotsu… Unsure why it says new though; oh wait it’s shoyu tonkotsu – sorry, it’s still early in the morning… Let’s give it a try…
Maruchan QTTA Shoyu Tonkotsu – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp, chicken, and pork. To prepare, fill to line with boiling water and cover 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
Loose bits and seasoning from the cup.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, chashu, sesame seed, shichimi, narutomaki, and scallion. Noodle is round with a nice toothsome nature. Broth was tasty and definitely a pork and soy marriage, however it has a kind of corn starchy thickness which came across a little… slimy. The included bits were decent. 2.75 out of 5.0 stars.
