This last weekend I redid my desk and mounted my computer underneath it. It went really well, but jacked up my back. Yesterday, I decided to take it easy (well, I didn’t) and walked to another town and got a couple varieties to review. This was one of them. Hopefully it’s enjoyable. We shall see…
Snapdragon Tonkotsu Ramen – United States
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add in large silver and veg sachets. Fill to line with water. Microwave 2 minutes and let sit a minute more. Add in oil sachet. Finally, stir and enjoy!

The noodle block.
A sachet of wet soup base.
A sachet of oil.
A sachet of vegetables.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added chashu, shichimi, spring onion, mung bean sprouts, sesame seed, and egg. Noodle was alright – round in shape. The broth had a spicy elemernt, however the pork tonkotsu flavor was more of a cloudy and rather bland Chinese stewed beef affair and didn’t make me think of a Japanese tonkotsu. 1.75 out of 5.0 stars.
