Now here’s one I haven’t seen since 2011 and thought could use another taste. I really enjoy tom yum and was wanting to review a Wai Wai variety, but the others they had at Evergreen Asian Market weren’t what I was looking for. So here we are – let’s cook it up!
Wai Wai Tom Yum Shrimp Flavor – Thailand
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Looks to be meat free but check for yourself. To prepare, add everything to 300ml boiling water and cover 3 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
The noodle block.
A dual sachet of seasoned oil on the left and soup base powder on the right.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion, mung bean sprouts, fishball, crushed red pepper, and sesame seed. Noodle was just right – thin with that light crumble. Broth was tasty – missed the mark though – not strong enough. 3.25 out of 5.0 stars. EAN bar code 8850100002495.
