Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! Inside, they have 8-10 different varieties from Japan! If you’d like to get one, don’t forget to use the coupon code THERAMENRATER for a discount! Let’s see what they had to say about this one – “Get ready for some hiking because we’re conquering Mt. Fuji next with a Fuji-inspired cup ramen! This cup features a hybrid broth of tonkotsu and soy sauce with a
delicious garlic accent and plenty of cabbage—perfect for eating while you watch the sunrise on the summit!”
This is something new and kind of a surprise I’ve not seen something like this previously – it’s upside down! You do of course flip it over to steep it, but it’s pretty neat looking to say the least. Also, while it’s supposed to look like Mount Fuki, it also looks like Gig Pudding! Anyways, let’s give it a try!
Sapporo Ichiban Fujiro Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains shrimp, chicken, and pork. To prepare, fill to line with boiling water and cover 5 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
An instant noodle block.
Loose bits and seasoning from the cup.
A sachet of liquid soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added barbecue pork, egg, sesame seed, chili oil, narutomaki, mung bean sprout, and spring onion. Noodle is thick with a nice chew that works. The broth is a milky and creamy shoyu tonkotsu that is just wonderful. The kicker here is the cabbage – and it kicks everything up tenfold. Just tons of it too – and add to that the garlic flavor in this one is off the charts. Just a great variety. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 7901734052975.
