The day after my wife Kit’s birthday, the kids went and visited family for a couple hours and we had a nice lunch together. Kit wanted to check this place out and so we went.

The menu (click here to enlarge). You tick the boxes of what you’d like to order and the server takes the slip and brings out your food. We got a menagerie of things, but the thing I ordered was the minced pork noodle. We’ll check that out towards the bottom.

My lovely wife Kit!

I’ve been to a place in Seattle’s U District before for jianbang in the past.

Here’s what it looks like. I think I liked the U District version better – this has a dryish thin layer, filled with a light amount of sauce and cripy bits. I wished for the other, which had scallion, lots of sauce, and mustard stem.

Here we have pig ear. It’s very thin and the chew is somewhat reminiscent of this carved squid. Served cold – pretty savory.

It’s a dumpling joint, so dumplings! steamed on the left, some soup dumpling in the middle, and bao on the right. Nice selection and decent quality.

Decided for a finish we’d have this banana naan bread with a small chingaling of whipped cream. Was good – light and crisp.

Finished (click to enlarge). Noodle was very good. Looks like quite a bit of short longbean, scallion, and then of course the minced pork. It was meaty and tasty – definitely worth a try. I was asked if I’d go here again shortly afterwards. That’s always a very difficult question; I like to try something new almost every single time. Maybe. 4.5 out of 5.0 stars. Overall, the place wasn’t too packed, table and chair was comfortable. The place was rather new, so it didn’t have that feel of years of patrons coming and going whichj is something I like. But I did like how we could have a nice time out together and didn’t feel like that we had to compete with high volumes. Check ’em out!
