I’m generally not a fan of mushrooms, but I’m curious about this one. I do like zhajiang though… I reviewed the Mom’s Dry Noodle pack of this a long time ago, so afterwards I’ll take a look at what I thought back then.

The dry noodle block.
A sachet of liquid soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added mung bean sprout, scallion, and sesame seed. Noodle was really good – soft and plentiful. The flavor though – like a Chinese five spice with salty and sweet aspects and myriad bits of shiitake. So delightful; Really loved this – and I didn’t expect to. 5.0 out of 5.0 stars.
