Okay – so no, you can’t really get this outside of a rison. Why? It’s just the deal. The clear packs don’t allow contraband. Who makes these? Maruchan. Who distributes them? Folks who want nothing to do with you so don’t bother them. I got some from a person who works for a prison as an employee. No. He’s anonymous. Anyways, there’s a lot of interest in these varieties. So, I’ll review it. They’re pretty good and different.
Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup Chili Flavor (Prison Ramen) – United States
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains beef. To prepare, boil noodles in 2 cups water for 3 minutes. Add in sachet contents and stir one minutes. Finally, enjoy!

Finished (click to enlarge). Added scallion and Ramen Bae dried ramen toppings beef mix. Noodle is great – nice little bite to it which adds so much. Broth was a kind of beef and chili powder combo; a hint of earthiness wasn’t welcome, but alll in all as advertised. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. UPC bar code 041789002762.
