Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! Inside, they have 8-10 different varieties from Japan! If you’d like to get one, don’t forget to use the coupon code THERAMENRATER for a discount! Let’s see what they had to say about this one – “Okinawa is famous for beautiful beaches and good food. And one of Okinawa’s most famous foods is Okinawa soba (or Ryukyu soba)! This ramen bowl features a delicious soup made with katsuo (bonito), kelp and pork, creating a light yet flavorful broth for the noodles”
Sounds like a plan – let’s give it a try.
Nissin Donbei Ryukyu Soba – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains pork, chicken and fish. To prepare, add everything but ginger and fill to line with boiling water. Cover for 5 minutes. Finally, stir and enjoy!
Detail of the lid (click to enlarge).
An instant noodle block.
A sachet of soup base powder seasoning.
A sachet of garnish.
A sachet of ginger.
A couple bits of kamaboko.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added sesame seed, shichimi, and scallion. Noodle has a broad flat nature. It does indeed have a little chewiness which worked well; not too spongy at all. The broth was an almost bacony savor; like fish bacon in a way. Savory and tasty. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902105283530.
