Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! Inside, they have 8-10 different varieties from Japan! If you’d like to get one, don’t forget to use the coupon code THERAMENRATER for a discount! Let’s see what they had to say about this one – “Time for a tasty bowl of yakisoba that’s as big and round as the moon! This bowl is one of Japan’s best-sellers in the instant noodle game with its thick, tasty sauce that packs a flavor punch in every bite! The seaweed and red ginger topping adds even more flair to every bite!”
I’m curious if the noodle is extra thick or the sauce. Let’s find out!
Nissin U.F.O. Slurp! Flavor Punch! Extra Thick Sauce Yakisoba – Japan
Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Detail of the side panels (click to enlarge). Contains pork and chicken. To prepare, fill to line with boiling water and cover 3 minutes. Drain. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

An instant noodle block.
A sachet of liquid soup base.
A sachet of either seaweed or shichimi.
Loose bits from the tray.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, chashu, scallion, sesame seed, and mayonnaise. Noodle is a little thicker and I’m not sure that I find that to be an asset. It seems like it needs the thinner noodle for the yakisoba sauce to be a little more slippery. The sauce is the standard tangy, Worcestershire-esque, tamarindy one. Included cabbage and bits o’ beef are ample. The little sachet contained seaweed and other things which worked very nicely. Good stuff! 4.75 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902105022122.
