Here’s a variety that I found in one of MiauMall’s Nakama Noodles subscription boxes! These are discontinued, however you can find their stuff at MiauMall – here is what they said about this one – “This ramen treat is a true safe haven from all the things that go bump in the night! This ramen features a tasty salt base with hints of pork for umami. The real star, however, is the onion oil and pepper oil with hints of garlic, chili and black pepper for tons of flavor!””
This description might seem odd, but today is Halloween as I post this and it’s from the October box. Yeah – I’m way ahead schedule-wise. Let’s give it a try!
Nissin ‘This Is A Good One’ Premium Onion Oil Shio Ramen – Japan
Detail of the packaging (click to enlarge). Contains pork and chicken. To prepare, boil noodle in 450ml water for 4 minutes. Add in sachet contents. Finally, stir and enjoy!

A sachet of liquid soup base.
Finished (click to enlarge). Added egg, chili crisp, sesame seed, scallion, chashu, and fish cake. Noodle is exceptionally good stuff – great chew to it. Broth was kind of underwhelming – very light on the flavor yet a nice oiliness. Left wanting in the taste department. 3.5 out of 5.0 stars. JAN bar code 4902105902349.
