#10: Ottogi Snack Shop Noodle Tteok-bokki – South Korea

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

Rapokki is a combination of ramyun (South Korean instant noodles), and tteokbokki (thick tube-like rice cakes and a sweet and spicy sauce. This is really pure comfort food and this variety is probably the best I’ve tried. Saucy, tasty – just all around good and multi textured. Give it a try! Original review | Get it here

#9: Indomie Mi Instan Mi Keriting Goreng Spesial – Indonesia

Now here we go. This was available in the United States only a very short time after I started reviewing. I think it made the 2011 top ten. This one has a great noodle, vegetable that goes so well, and a sipping soup on the side. It’s amazing – I wish it would come back. In the compilation of this list, I decided to see all the 70+ flavors I’d tried – that list is here and it’s pretty long. Original review | Get it here

#8: Sapporo Ichiban Premier Rich Kagoshima Black Pork Dashi Miso Ramen – Japan

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

This variety from Japan is a ‘cut above’ and more premium version of the well-known miso from Sapporo Ichiban. It is still a fried noodle – and I expected a non fried – but this worked very well. The broth was the real knockout here – not overloaded by red miso, something I dislike whe its too ‘forward.’ But this was very savory and it stuck in my craw in a very nice way. Really was a nice surprise. Original review | Get it here

#7: Mamee Chef Mi Goreng Perisa Rendang Legenda – Malaysia

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

Malaysian food is really wonderful stuff – I’ve tried it firsthand. Mamee Chef has graced my lists for years – from their Curry LaksaCurry Lontong and more. This one is particularly wonderful. Take a great noodle and pair it with the flavors of traditional mi goreng, and add a strong basil bump to it. Really gives it a nice gourmet experience and really quite exotic. Original review | Get it here

#6: Mom’s Dry Noodle Surfmama Goose Oil Zhajiang Noodle – Taiwan

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

Mom’s Dry Noodle has brought the flavor for years now. From a beautiful Dan Dan to their Scallop Chicken & Wine boxed noodle soup. This one is a traditional Taiwanese broad, chewy dry noodle paired with this sauce. It reminds me of the filling in bao and is sensational – just so savory and tasty! Really loved this one. Original review | Get it here

#5: MyKuali MyKuali Penang White Curry Noodle – Malaysia

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

I initially sampled MyKuali Penang White Curry in 2013. I remember getting this box and this funny looking package. I thought it looked interesting, but then I tried it. Plump noodles, a rich and thick broth with shrimp paste and spiciness – this was a game changer for me. It absolutely blew my mind and still does to this day. If you’ve not tried Malaysian curry, you’re really missing out. Original review | Get it here

#4: Nissin x Irvins Salted Egg Flavour – Singapore

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

I’ve been somewhat of a fan of salted egg flavored things for a little while now. That was until I tried this. A thin and flat noodle cradles a lots of strong salted egg flavor. It’s really quite good. This is a collab between Irvins chips and Nissin Singapore . I recently tried the chips and have to say that I like the noodles even better! Spectacular. #3: A-Sha Meteor Noodles With Hot & Sour Sauce – Taiwan

The Ramen Rater's Top Ten Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition

A-Sha has been making dry noodle out of Taiwan for years. Past lists have featured their Beef & Tendon Noodles – really great stuff. This one is a new kind of noodle – instead of flat, it’s three-pronged which provides a unique mouthfeel and exceptional chewiness. The hot and sour sauce is really quite nice – the sesame paste adds a great dimension as well. Quite impressive and wonderful. Original review | Get it here

#2: Ippudo Karaka Spicy Ramen – Japan

Got to try three Ippudo varieties fairly recently and this was definitely my favorite. A thin noodle is pairs perfectly with a rich tonkotsu broth. It’s spicy, but definitely in a complimentary way.Alone, this would be just wonderful – but add that glob of miso and mince and you’ve got an umami bomb of epic proportion. Original review | Get it here

#1: Prima Taste Singapore Wholegrain Laksa LaMian — Singapore

After many, many years, there’s been a change to this variety. The product is just a little smaller in serving size, and they’ve changed the packaging. That being said, it is still just wonderful stuff.. I should definitely mention – all their varieties are simply wonderful – their Curry LaMian has been on the list alongside this one, however now that I only have a single nomination per company, you won’t see it here – not to say it’s not truly wonderful as well. This one has a thick, chewy noodle with an artisan feel. The broth is out of this world – thick savory, oily, sumptuous, and very filling. It’s unique and really nears sampling as soon as possible – not only the Wholegrain varieties are great – the regular one are as well. Bravo! Original review | Get it here
