Look at those big deadly looking red peppers! This should be interesting. Usually stuff you’d find around here domestically would be on the weak side if it had a pepper being shown. We’ll have to see if this stuff lives up to the flavor of hot taste! I’m also very curious if I like this better than Shin Ramyun. I’ve really been enjoying the Ottogi products…

#535: Wai Wai Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodle
So here are Wai Wai instant chicken flavor noodles. Hmm.
I really liked the packaging of the sachets. The ‘essence’ was interesting to be sure. The chili packet wasn’t used as my 5 year old had this bowl of noodles but i opened it and tried them. Spicy sun peppers – nothing shocking. Then, a blue packet with oil.
#534: MAMA Pho Ga Oriental Style Instant Chand Noodles Chicken Flavour
So here’s something new – pho. Chicken pho. I think this probably won’t live up to its name but we’ll see.
#533: Paldo Gomtang Oriental Style Noodles With Soup Base
Gomtang huh? Sounds like a Star Trek alien creature that’s been traveling possibly hundreds of thousands of years across space to find it’s final resting place in the vicinity of a star about to go nova. But I don’t think that’s what they’re going for here.
#117: Ottogi Ramyonsari
So look what we have here – plain ramen noodles! Yup – that’s it. A brick of noodles with no spices.
#116: MAMA Nam Vang Instant Chand Clear Soup
Nam Vang? Phnom Penh style? Looks interesting to be sure. A lot of words on this bag!
Rice noodles – like the Pad Thai in the similar packaging…
#115: Ottogi Miso Ramyon Oriental Style Instant Noodle
Another package of Korean ramen. This looks interesting – Miso flavor…
This is a trip – both are powder packets. I usually see a powder and an oil but rarely two powders.
Lishan Food Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Chinese Instant Noodle
I got this stuff literally a few years ago and it’s been sitting about 90 miles away in a dark cupboard since. It’s a strange one.
The Ramen Rater Mentioned In Technorati Article
Check it out – I thought it was pretty neat to get mentioned as a website to do research! Here’s the link.
#114: Samyang Ramen Kimchi: Korean Kimchi Flavor Noodle Soup
Okay a little while ago I was asked as to why I hadn’t reviewed any Kim Chee flavored noodles… So here we go with some Samyang…
#113: Nongshim HooRooRook Premium Korean Noodle Soup
So I’ve been walking by this one for a couple months now debating when to get it. I got it the other day and now I’m going to try it out. Looks interesting – the name certainly is.
#112: Ottogi Jjajang Noodle Asian Style Instant Noodle
So look! More Korean noodles! Let’s see what we’ve got here! Certainly looks interesting but I have no idea what it is. Black bean paste is mentioned prominently in the ingredients, so perhaps that’s the flavor? Upon digging around a bit, I found this from Wikipedia:
#111: Ottogi Odongtong Myon Seafood Spicy Flavor Asian Style Instant Noodle
A lot of people have been commenting on my old reviews of Korean noodles. So After going to a couple big Korean supermarkets, I’m going to be trying a lot more Korean instant noodles. This one looks straightforward: spicy seafood.
Where To Get It: 99 Ranch Market
So this place is really nice – they have a wide variety of pretty much everything.
99 Ranch Market
Where To Get It: Pal-Do World
NOTE: Paldo World is no longer at this location. However, there’s a new Korean supermarket called KS Mart.
#110: Lucky Me! Artificial Chicken Flavor
So here’s a little pack of noodles I picked up at H Mart by Lucky Me! brand. Good ole chicken flavor.
#109: MAMA Instant Pad Thai Noodles
So some Pad Thai by MAMA. This should be interesting – I’ve had Pad Thai before at a restaurant and its not too bad so we’ll see how it stands up here.
Where To Get It: H Mart with UPDATE!!!
Holy moly freaking god look at the size of that place. It’s an enormous Korean grocery much like Paldo World in Lynnwood – and guess what – this place iis in Lynnwood too…
#108: Teriyaki Time Ramen
So for my #100 review, I thought since being jabbed at recently about not having ramen from a restaurant, I’d better try it out. Long story short, I found this bowl rather lackluster. Not very spicy. The noodles were very nice, but the egg wasn’t much. I was left wanting… Something more… I had to give it 2.0 of 5.0 stars
#107: Ottogi Pow Crunch Teriyaki Flavor Original Noodle Snack
So we went to a new place today called H Mart – more on that later! So this is something weird from Korea I just has to try – however, it wasn’t really weird at all!
#106: GreeNoodle Tom Yum Flavor
So today here’s review #98 – the weird GreeNoodle… These noodles contain some kind of weird ingredient called moroheiya. “Moroheiya is a super vegetable that is more nutritious than spinach, carrots, or borccoli in most aspects” is written on the back and cite as a quote by the ‘Japanese Ministry.’ although which Ministry that would be is unclear to me.
#105: Indomie Mie Keriting Goreng Spesial Special Fried Curly Noodles
So here she is. Ultra tasty and ready for preparation. There is only one slightly better and its about the same but has a soup base packet inside which goes great with it.
#104: Maruchan Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup
So yeah – really. I haven’t reviewed the standard chicken flavor Maruchan seen on every store shelf from here to hell and back. So it’s time. Chicken time!
#103: Ve Wong Oriental Style Instant Noodles Vegetarian Flavor Soup Base
So some more Ve Wong – I think this is the 95th unique variety of instant noodles I’ve tried! Here we go!
#102: Indomie Soto Mie Flavour Instant Noodles
I thought I’d already reviewed this stuff but apparently not, so here we go with Soto Mie flavor. This is one of the few varieties of Indomie instant noodles that you don’t drain the noodles with.
#101: Ve Wong Instant Oriental Noodle Soup Artificial Sesame Chicken Flavor
So if I’ve counted right, this is ramenrater review number 93. 93 different kinds – holy crap… Once I get to 100 I’ll put on a pink tutu and wet my pants or something I don’t know… Anyways, here’s some Ve Wong Sesame Chicken flavor.
#100: Unif / Tung-I Artificial Chinese Beef Flavor Instant Rice Noodles
Been awhile since I’ve had rice noodles – let alone artificial Chinese beef flavored broth!
#99: Ve Wong Kung-Fu Artificial Onion Flavor Instant Oriental Noodles Soup
So today we have some artificial onion flavor noodles. New flavor eh? That’s pretty awesome! This packet is rather fascinating though…
#98: Unif / Tung-I Chah Chiang Flavor Ramen Noodles
Okay so thought I’d try something with an odd name today. Yes, I thought of the money ch-ching sound too when I read the flavor… It’s a Taiwanese flavor from what I found on Google – spicy and oniony.
#97: Saigon Ve Wong Kung-Fu Mi Tom Chua Sour Shrimp Flavor Instant Noodles Vietnam Flavor
So today I thought I’d try some more of these interesting Vietnamese noodles. Yesterday’s review was very enjoyable – especially with the little thing about ‘spicery’ on the packet. So here we go with Sour Shrimp Flavor. Yup – another really long named instant noodle pack. I’m kind of liking it.
#96: Saigon Ve Wong Kung-Fu Artificial Pork Flavor Instant Noodle Vietnam Flavor
So I thought why not – a sunny day here in Edmonds. Pork? Yes, pork sir. After my sweety had some Unif stewed pork noodles a couple weeks ago I thought I’d best try some form of pork noodles. Other than Maruchan’s entry into the pork race that is. So here we are. Quite possibly the longest name in noodles so far, Saigon Ve Wong Kung-Fu Artificial Pork Flavor Instant Noodles Vietnam Flavor.
#95: Wei Lih Instant Noodles With Artificial Beef Flavored Soup Stock
So here’s the second Wei Lih product to enter my stomach through my facehole. Artificial beef flavored stock huh? Is that what you get when you boil an artificial Steer with flowers on its head?
#94: MAMA Artificial Chicken Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodles
Okay so first off, here we go with the MAMA noodles. I really didn’t expect to like these but what can I say – not too bad. Mi Ga it says on the top left – Ga means chicken in Vietnamese – I know that much. Interesting as this is a Thai product.
#93: Payless Pancit Canton Xtra Big Original Flavor
So here’s something new. I’ve been avoiding it a bit as I wasn’t sure if I really would like it. But I remembered I’m the ramenrater, fearing no ramen and all that crap so here it is. The big one. My review’s preview is simple (think of this said with an extremely strong hwhuh sound on each word) Hwow – this stuff hwas hwonderful and I hwould eat is daily.
#92: Fashion Food Tom Yum Seafood Creamy Flavour Instant Noodles
So this was a neat little presentation. Came with its own bowl and lid – looks to be reusable as well.
#88: Paldo Korean Noodle Chicken Flavor
So I think its kind of funny – the last ramen I rated was Wai Wai Tom Yum Shrimp – it used only 1 1/3c of water. This stuff used 2 3/4 cups – the most called for yet! This is Paldo Korean Noodle Chicken flavor. This’ll be my first review of a Paldo product.
#87: Wai Wai Tom Yum Shrimp Cream Soup Flavour Instant Noodles
So here we go with some Wai Wai. This stuff is made in Thailand and the noodles can be eaten straight out of the bag like a bag of chips. This was a much smaller package than usually seen here on ramenrater.com. In fact, the directions call for a mere 1 1/3 cups of water [320cc] instead of the usual 2 to 2 1/2 cups.
#86: Unif / Tung-I Onion Flavor Ramen Noodles
So was thinking what ramen to pick today and then saw this. On special for 33 cents I couldn’t pass it up. I also got a 33 cent bunch of green onions for the dinner I’m making tonight so a pretty cheap trip to the ole 99 Ranch. So Onion flavor – should be interesting…
Uwajimaya – Bellevue
So here’s some interesting ones I picked up at the Bellevue Uwajimaya today. I usually walk to 99 Ranch to get a different package of noodles every day, but these are all ones that they don’t have there. Some unique stuff here! I imagine I’ll get down to the Uwajimaya in Seattle and end up with some more unique stuff there .
#85: Nissin Demae Ramen Noodle With Sesame Oil
I last tried this variety when I was about 15 years old I think and I absolutely hated it. I have been avoiding it like the plague ever since. I suppose 20 years later, its time for another go.
