Over 5,000 Instant Ramen Noodle Reviews Since 2002

Here’s another one from Nathan up in Vancouver. First off, this one’s BIG. it calls for 700mL of water and to be cooked for 5-6 minutes! Aside from this stuff, there are some oddities I noticed that were kind of interesting.

Here’s the last of the JML brand noodles from Greg B. of Florida. Looks like it will be hot and spicy!

This is a big bowl of noodles from China. So far, I’ve tried Dragonfly’s Onion, Seafood and Beef flavors. I’m really happy with how nice those have been and eager to try this one!

I was kind of tripped out by this bowl of noodles: artificial onion? Why would they need to go the artificial route on this one? Well, why don’t I look at the ingredients. Oh look! Onion powder and onion oil. I’m confused… Anyways, here we go…

Ah! Today it’s breakfast later than normal so breaking out the big bowl action! Seafood flavor sounded good and going to add a couple of eggs to it too.

Here’s another that Floridian Greg B. sent me a while back. Spicy beef, eh? Sounds good to me!

I was quite happy to see a few new big bowl style instant noodles when I was at an Asian grocery the other day, especially Dragonfly brand – I think I’ve only reviewed a single solitary Dragonfly instant noodle thus far. Now I think there’s at least four or five to do! Well, let’s start with this one. Beefalicious? Let’s hope so – I mean it IS the review before the big psychological number 500!

Here’s another one that arrived in the east coast care package from Greg B. of Orlando, FL. This time its stew beef flavor – let’s go!

So here’s the first one I’m reviewing that were sent by Greg B. of Orlando, FL. He says it’s really good stuff and so I’ll give it a shot!

Ramen Rater reader Greg B. from Orlando, FL offered to send me some of his favorite noodles that he hadn’t seen me review before. I was really stoked to see this box!

So here’s another one of these big bowls! Crab flavor sounds nice!

Again three packets of seasoning – clockwise from top: veggies, seasoned oil and dry powder seasoning.

Here’s a new brand – Kailo! This is a big bowl of noodles too – and what an odd image on the front. But hey, how can chicken be fouled (it’s already been fowled HAHAHAHAHA – bad I know but I’m full of noodles now) it’s such a basic flavor. So here we go! UPDATE – This stuff is actually ABALONE CHICKEN – that explains a lot.

So here’s the first Kamfen fresh udon I’ve tried. So something new for today!

So I noticed that the previous review of the Mushroom flavor was a rice noodle soup bowl as opposed to a rice noodle bowl. Interesting. Anyways, here’s another Thai Kitchen bowl.

Tried the Spring Onion last week and thought it was good so thought I ought to see if I can find more of these. Sure enough, found a couple at Safeway.

The first thing I noticed about this one was that it was expired. I got these at The Market At Anacortes on July 4th or 5th this year. I’m sure they’re still fine but jeez! Lenmongrass ginger… I like ginger that’s for sure. Wondering about lemongrass though – I guess we’ll see…

Baijia. Probably the single brand with the lowest consecutive ratings I’ve given. But lo and behold, I continue reviewing them – I believe that at some point there will be something awesome from them! Perhaps this pickled radish and duck flavored sweet potato noodle cup will be the holy grail? We shall see…

During my vacation I found quite a few of these at ‘The Market At Anacortes.’ I’ve reviewed one in the past and been interested in doing the rest. Here’s some of them – Asian Vegetable flavor. Here we go…

Once again, here we go – back from vacation and back to instant noodle reviewing! First we have some Sau Tao brand Wonton flavored noodles. Always seems to be in a cup… They’re going to be extremely good I hope.

So this is something different – E-Men noodles. The ingredients say they’re mad of wheat flour and soybean oil…

I think this is the last of the Sau Tao’s I have for reviewing at this point. This one’s Scallop flavor with thick noodles. Again, these noodles aren’t fried. If you notice to the upper right of center, you are being informed that ‘Health is important.’ Looks like 4g fat and 7.5g fiber – not too bad actually.

So some noodles from Thailand. I have no idea what to expect from this one… Let’s see what’s inside…

So here’s some Unif Shrimp Fish… What’s funny is that I have had the Super Bowl’s lately and they looked exactly the same as this, but this one doesn’t say Super Bowl on it so go figure.

So this is the third and final Super Bow. I do have a couple more of the Unif brand ones I think so those will be next! Anyways, here we go with Artificial Pickled Chilli Beef flavor!

Jeez these things are big enough… I wasn’t able to finish the last one! So here e go with some stewed pork chop! Interesting – don’t those meat cuts on the label look like ribs? I’m just sayin’…

So here’s a big sucka. Got about ten different ones to try here. This should be interesting stuff. First off, spicy beef!

So three hundred reviews behind this and onward we go! So here’s a brand I’ve never seen before. A lot of funny stuff on this package – shrimp flavor, bad English… But proof is in the eating right?

Okay and here we go with review #300! It’s really getting hard to find ones I haven’t sampled and reviewed yet so if anyone would like to send me some that would be really much appreciated! So here’s #300, spinach onion time!

So spell-check wasn’t working the day you made the lid for this stuff was it folks? No matter – I will be forgiving on that note as I review a bowl of noodles that claims to have onion flavor – and I really like onions so this should be awesome!

So recently I reviewed the pickled vegetable and the chicken Doll noodles and they were excellent. Spicy beef is hopefully as good.

So I’ve gotten a couple comments about doing this stuff wrong and sure enough, I made it wrong. So I shall try this again!

So here’s another Doll instant noodle. Sounds like a regular old flavor and shouldn’t be anything all that amazing. We’ll see.

So we went to 99 Ranch Market yesterday and turns out there were two more kinds of Doll instant noodles they had that I’ve not tried! So here’s the first, pickled vegetable.

Swore I’d reviewed this before. Well, here’s one from Unif.

From left going clockwise, veggies, powder soup base and oily thick stuff.

Freaking awesome! From the folks that brought Everybody Likes Good Good Eat snacks, we now have Good Good Eat Super Ramen!!! Can’t wait to try this!

So. Rocket Brand Satoimo Noodles. These were next to some instant noodles at Uwajimaya in Seattle. Purple noodles. So what’s Satoimo? Wikipedia says:

So Kit noticed these at 99 Ranch Market yesterday – a four pack of them on sale pretty cheap. Thought it’d be something to try – fresh noodles, scallop flavor, heck yeah!

So another one of these big two serving bags. The last one wasn’t all that great so I guess we’ll see how this one fares.

So this came from a local snooty natural foods place in Edmonds. We’ll see how it is…

Sesame oil flavor – shouldn’t be too hard to get this stuff right eh? We’ll see how this comes out.
