Here one I got from Martin A. of Devon, England! Thanks! He says this is one of his favorites – I think it’s time to give it a try. I have a big hamper full of instant noodles that don’t get picked out of as much lately what with all of the Meet The Manufacturers I’ve been doing… This one is sold in England but made in Singapore – let’s check it out!

Here’s the other of the two Prima Taste La Mian varieties they sent. Laksa is a dish that’s extremely popular around the world that comes from Singapore. Meet The Manufacturer: Prima Taste Rendang Curry Sauce Kit
I know, thewse aren’t noodles but I thought it’d be nice to show some of the other things that Prima Taste sent. This one’s for making rendang – a spicy curried beef.
Meet The Manufacturer: #991: Prima Taste Singapore Curry La Mian
Curry. For me, it’s up there with bacon, pizza, fried chicken and dim sum. Curry has this flavor that has always enthralled me and can be prepared in so many different ways. Here we have Prima Taste’s take on curry with their Curry La Mian.
Meet The Manufacturer: Interview With Prima Taste
This is a Meet The Manufacturer that’s been a long time in the making – and well worth it! Prima Taste is a company out of Singapore that makes all sorts of meal kits and now ‘LaMian,’ which is a line of instant noodle products. Here’s the interview I conducted with them via email.
#840: Chewy Stir Rice Vermicelli Singaporean Laksa Flavour
Here’s one that my sister brought me back from a trip to Canada earlier this year. So to recap, bought in Canada, Singaporean flavored, made in China – capiche?
The Ramen Rater’s Top Ten Spiciest Instant Noodles Of All Time
* UPDATE * See here.
A couple of days ago, I received an email from a man who was angry. He was angry that the instant noodles he bought said that they were spicy Chicken flavor but weren’t spicy whatsoever and that I needed to change the seasonings ASAP. Every once in a while, I get a comment or email from someone who thinks that I make instant noodles or am affiliated with an instant noodle company. I decided to reply and do a review of the product he had problems with, adding some hot spices, sauces and peppers from around the world to really heat it up. It then occurred to me that a lot of people really like spicy instant noodles and that there’s really no list of the hottest ones out there. I figured I’d better do something about that, and so here’s the Top Ten Spiciest Instant Noodles Of All Time!

So here’s another one my sister brought me back from Canada! Definitely a flavor you can’t find here in the states.
Re-Review: Tat Hui Koka Mi Hai Tom 2 Prawn Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodles
So I reviewed this one a really long time ago and thought it really needed to be brought out again. I don’t even remember what score I gave it, but it’s being prepared no doubt a little different this time and so we shall see how it fares. I remember liking it a great deal.

Tomato ramen. There it is. Is it gong to taste tomato-like?

More Koka! So spicy seafood marinara time!
I like how the little scrawl at the base of the garnishes pack implies that the garnishes may be different from time to time. Mysterious…
#236: Tat Hui Koka Instant Non-Fried Noodles Spicy Sesame Flavor
Sesame’s good, spicy is good. Let’s see if this stuff that was uber cheap – $1.49 for 4 packages – is worth its weight.

Mi Hai: Crab Flavor and Prawn Flavor Stars: *** 1/2
Notes: This is some really decent stuff – not a whole lot to it, but definitely tastes like crab and prawn.
The noodles are better than expected too. One note though, it does tend to give me extremely bad
heartburn. I don’t like that.
