The Definitive Source For Instant Noodle Reviews Since 2002
Swore I’d reviewed this before. Well, here’s one from Unif.
From left going clockwise, veggies, powder soup base and oily thick stuff.
Tomato ramen. There it is. Is it gong to taste tomato-like?
The veggies and the powder…
Six Fortune stuff is usually pretty good but I haven’t seen a lot of it around. So let’s give it a try!
Well, this thing is big enough – hopefully it’s good stuff!
So the dragon pulls the cart. I would hate to be riding in that thing! The warnings of pain in store were interesting…
Chow noodle! Wow this stuff looks interesting. I liked the cheese version… Let’s see how this one tastes eh?
So another one of these. They are hard to pass up at 69 cents each. Shrimp flavor is the game of the day.
So some new stuff. I like Tom Yum flavor noodle soup usually so hpoing this should be nice. I really liked the last Koka bowl noodle I had recently – it had a packet of coconut powder in it – weird!
Enjoy. Do it enjoy.
So here’s some chicken flavor bowl noodles hmm? Free crackers…
So we were at 99 Ranch yesterday and Kit picked this one for me! Let’s give it a try!
Before anyone gets their panties in a proverbial ruffle, look at the lower right hand corner. It says ramen noodles.
Snack ramen eh? Well let’s see what this one is like. I think it’s ‘snack’ as it only takes the 2 minutes instead of three and has only one seasoning packet. Here we go.
Another milestone – 250 reviews! Was waiting a while for this one – 99 Ranch would get other varieties but leave this little shelf bare – and after about 8 months, here it is. So let’s give it a try!
Yep – surprising isn’t it? When you see that I’ve reviewed well over 200 unique packs of instant noodles to think that I haven’t done beef flavored Top Ramen yet. So here we go!
So if you follow my reviews you’d notice that Nongshim makes what looks to be almost the exactly same thing. Weird. But I suppose competition even in the world of instant noodles is fierce. So many varieties of noodles – one must stand out!
So found the sixth of seven varieties of Bowl Noodle! Kit you rock!!! She saw it at Uwajimaya in Bellevue and boom – here we go!!!
So the local grocery store had four different varieties of this stuff so I thought I might as well run through them. So roast chicken huh? Alrighty…
Wow this is very interesting! Pork and Tomato? How bizarre! I think this’ll be quite a different experience.
‘So I believe that this is the last of the Sapporo Ichiban regular ramens to try. I have a feeling is will be either soy or miso taste.
So here’s the third of these Bowl Noodles I’ve tried, Cabbage Kimchi. Some not so keen on Kimchi might not know that its not only made of cabbage but other vegetables too, such as radish. Anyways, Let’s get started.
Beef & Ginger? Sounds really good! Surprising that I haven’t stumbled upon more packs of instant noodles that have ginger as a main ingredient – it’s so tasty and all…
So today my nose is bugging me so I thought perhaps something chickenny would be good. Well, this is artificial chicken flavor so we’ll see. Also if you look closely at the photo, the chicken in the bowl on the package looks like its made out of plastic! Truly artificial chicken flavor! Har har!
I’ve had the garlic and sesame flavor noodles by Sing Lin before – they were really great so we’ll have to see how these stack up…
Seen this around for a long time but have never tried it.Always looked kinda plain and boring.
Warning – IF YOU CAN’T HANDLE HOT AND SPICY FLAVORS, STAY AWAY!!!
So first off, help with translation here would be great. I think the words on the front of the package have a bit more going on than Paldo Teumsae. Teumsae seems to be another company.
MMMMMM – fresh udon! Plus, its being enjoyed while we watch the Maury show and watch people yell and freak out at eachother.
Some more of the Myojo Chukazanmai. It’s still on sale!
A powder and a liquid…
Looks interesting – so far I have really enjoyed this line by Myojo quite a bit. Seems pretty gourmet…
Some Kimchi flavor from Thailand! Should be interesting. I’m going to doctor it up today with quite a few ingredients. One thing kind of interesting is that there is currently a cabbage shortage in Korea, where Kimchi is so widely consumed. Here is an article about it – thanks for the info Kit!
So another day and some more noodles my lady picked for me. This one’s Vietnamese and looks a lot like pho. At least on the package.
So I asked Kit to pick out two packs of noodles for me to try next. Here’s the first one. I’m curious whether it’ll be any good; the MAMA brand has reviews on here from 1 to 4 stars so we’ll just have to see. By the way, on the back in two places it says tom yum instead of tom yam like it does on the front. I’m going to go with tom yum being correct and the yam being a typo.
So here we go with some Udon for breakfast. I’m going to really modify this one.
Powder and flake.
Second one of these I’ve tried…
Some dry powder, some goopy stuff which I figure is soybean paste.
Huge noodle bowl! Fresh noodles!
Okay so this is the second one of these I’ve ever had! They are a bit spendier than the regular ones – usually they’re between $2 and $4…
So this came from a local snooty natural foods place in Edmonds. We’ll see how it is…
Sesame oil flavor – shouldn’t be too hard to get this stuff right eh? We’ll see how this comes out.
Okay so here’s some new stuff from Vffon. Let’s see how it goes! Hoping it tastes good!
So I got these noodles yesterday up the road at 99 Ranch and wow everyone else wanted to be there at the same time! Was absolutely amazing how many people were in that store all at once! Surprisingly, it took maybe 8 or so minutes to get rung up and on my way home with some nice noodles that were on sale!
So here’s one of the large noodle bowls I have. If you’ll recall, I’ve reviewed Kitsune Udon before – I did Sapporo Ichiban’s. This one’s a little different. The Kitsune is much bigger this time. Also, it’s a bowl!
So been really wanting to try this one! Okinawa soba! We needed to spend a little more for the parking validation at Uwajimaya so this looked good! It’s a 5 pack – haven’t see anywhere selling individuals.
So here’s a new one. I had to add the brand as I’ve never had nor seen this brand before. Not a lot in English aside from the distributor, Hosoda Bros. Inc. and www.sakuraifoods.com.
