#4214: Nongshim Angry Chapaguri - United States

Well, well, well. I think this one should warrant a mukbang, don’t you? I’m trying to remember the last time I did one, actually. I must say I’m sad to report that this is the first year a top ten list for South Korea has been skipped since I started doing them; I’ve reviewed so few new varieties. Really bummed about that – help! Glad to see a new one here, however this is for the US market and not the Korean version. Hopefully some new ones will cross my desk for 2023 soon. Either way, this is an extra spicy version of Chapaguri, made popular by the film Parasite I believe. Still haven’t seen the film… Being with poor vision, subtitles are a little rough. Definitely would like to see the ramdon scene.  But anyhoo, let’s check this new ramdon out. ...see full post

Here’s yet another Menraku variety and it came from James of Lakeside, California – thanks again! I thought this would be a dry variant, but it’s definitely not. I should mention that yes, while this is made in Japan, it’s definitely an export version and that’s why it gets the United States tag at the end. Let’s give it a try! ...see full post

This is an interesting one. It appears this is a variety made just for the United States by Taiwanese company A-Sha, however it is produced in Vietnam. What’s more interesting is that it’s a Hello Kitty licensed product and it’s spicy – better do a mukbang! How spicy could it be with the cutesy factor? We’ll find out. ...see full post

#4136: Lost The Pot Noodle Roast Chicken Flavour - United Kingdom

This one comes by way of my good friend (who actually was Knighted) from the UK I met via the Ramen Junkies group a little while ago. Thank you, bro! I’m a huge fan of British varieties and especially interesting ones from Pot Noodle. Let’s see if this one is as bland as he says it is. Sadly, I have no tinned pangolin to add to this one, Sir JB will be happy to see the absence of corn. ...see full post

For the longest time, I only thought there was a single variety of Nongshim’s Tonkotsu bowl – the spicy one. Lo and behold, there’s this one with black garlic oil as well.
