#474: Saigon Ve Wong Kung-Fu Shrimp & Crab Flavor Instant Rice Noodles

Something else from Saigon Ve Wong – Shrimp & Crab flavor! I sure found a lot of these down in California at the Dublin 99 Ranch Market. They’re pretty cheap too – I think these were around a dollar. I recently had a request that I include the prices of these noodles on my reviews – and that’s going to be a little tricky… See, when I go noodle hunting, I end up getting as many new kinds as I can and a lot of the time the receipt has a list – and extremely cryptic listings. So I’ll do my best – I can do an ‘around’ pricing kind of deal. So yeah – this was around a buck. Anyways… ...see full post

#471: Koyo Lemongrass Ginger Ramen Made With Organic Noodles

The first thing I noticed about this one was that it was expired. I got these at The Market At Anacortes on July 4th or 5th this year. I’m sure they’re still fine but jeez! Lenmongrass ginger… I like ginger that’s for sure. Wondering about lemongrass though – I guess we’ll see… ...see full post

#469: Gefen Oriental Style Ramen Noodles Chicken Flavor

Here’s another one sent to me by Michael M. from Staten Island, NY – thanks again, man! As I mentioned before, he found a few of them on the kosher aisle of a grocery store and sent them my direction.  The last review I did was imitation chicken flavor. This one’s chicken flavor. I looked at the ingredients and don’t see any chicken… Hmm… Well, let’s try it out. ...see full post

#467: Vifon Tu Quy Sour & Spicy Shrimp Flavor Instant Noodle

It certainly looks like shrimp and very enjoyable in the picture. I wonder how it will taste though. That’s kind of the question I ask myself 50% of the time. The other 50% is kind of a oh look it’s chicken this should be chicken like. This on the other hand is Vietnamese, and sour and spicy and shrimp. So we shall see… ...see full post

#464: MAMA Vegetable Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodles

Been a really really long time since I reviewed some MAMA noodles! That’s because I’ve reviewed so many of them in the past I have a really hard time finding new ones to eat! These are some I got at OC Grocery in Anaheim, California on our vacation. They didn’t have an enormous selection of noodles, however I didn’t have most of them and left with a couple bagfuls – very nice little place – smelled great and nice people! Anyways, on with the review! ...see full post

#462: Nissin Top Ramen Shrimp Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup

“The hell you say!” you may be saying, but yes indeed my fellow noodleheads, it’s true. I reviewed 461 other instant noodles but decided to have today be the shrimp flava Top Ramen. Why you ask? Why not is your answer. So the package is very pink is just itching to be reviewed so here we go. ...see full post

#461: Samyang Sutah Ramen Hot & Spicy Beef Flavor

Been meaning to try and review this one for a while and today seems like a good day to do it. I’m a little confused about this one; I looked up Sutah and couldn’t find anything about the word on Google or Wikipedia… Found plenty of Korean BBQ restaurant links but nothing saying what Sutah might mean. Hmm. Well, let’s get to it. ...see full post

#460: Menraku Japanese Tempura “Udon”

Got a new ramen container – we moved some stuff around and now I have our wicker laundry hamper for noodle storage! It’s actually quite nice – and also makes it easy to just put my hand in and grab a random ramen to rate. I’m sure I’ll post a picture of it sooner or later. Anyways, today I picked  This one – hoping that it’s good as I’m famished and this just isn’t the day for a bad bowl of noodles. ...see full post

#456: Ve Wong Kung-Fu Artificial Szechuan Pork Flavor Instant Oriental Noodle Soup

Here’s something from Ve Wong. I’ve been enjoying these bowls so far – pork sounds good! I did review some Baijia pickled radish and duck flavor earlier, but honestly I couldn’t eat the whole thing it was so nasty – I only ate perhaps a 1/4 of it… So yeah here’s this one. ...see full post

#455: Baijia Single Noble Pickled Radish And Duck Flavor Instant Sweet Potato Noodle ( Cup )

Baijia. Probably the single brand with the lowest consecutive ratings I’ve given. But lo and behold, I continue reviewing them – I believe that at some point there will be something awesome from them! Perhaps this pickled radish and duck flavored sweet potato noodle cup will be the holy grail? We shall see… ...see full post

#452: Myojo Hyoubanya no Chukasoba Japanese Style Noodles Soy Sauce Flavor

Well lookie here! My wife and I were at H-Mart and she spied these on the lower shelf. We tried the ones in the blue packaging – the Oriental flavor – awhile back and those were quite delicious. Since these must be purchased in a five pack, I figured let’s give them a go – she should dig ’em! ...see full post

#450 Ottogi Ppushu Ppushu Tteobokki (Hot Rice Cake) Flavor Instant Snack

So you’re hungry, lazy, and you’re 12 years old or in a college dorm. Well, I’m sure most of you know the rest – you smash up a pack of Top Ramen and sprinkle the seasoning pack in, shake it and you’ve got some kind of funky potato chip bizarro-land thing. Well, in Korea they took that concept a step further and have products that are marketed to be enjoyed that way! ...see full post

#449: Wu-Mu Beef Flavor Ramen Mi Bo

This package was part of a five pack found at a 99 Ranch near Anaheim, CA. I’ve never seen such a basic variety from Wu-Mu before and it really piqued my curiosity. Wu-Mu prides itself on being a more premium brand and doesn’t fry their noodles but steams them. The result is less fat this whole pack has only 4g fat, compared to something like 14-22 grams in a fried instant noodle. Let’s see how this stuff is for breakfast with a couple of eggs. ...see full post
