Today Andy wanted to try something new. Knowing he’s a little timid of things that are too far off the map, I went with this. I’m pretty sure he’ll like it.

#792: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Chicken Flavor (New Version)
The 200th review I did was the old version of this stuff! Over 500 reviews later, we come to the new version. So far, these new ones have been quite good.
#782: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Savory Shrimp Flavor
#772: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Hot & Spicy Beef Flavor (New Version)
I’m pretty jazzed – got a couple things this last trip to the Asian grocery and going to try one of them today. Here’s another one of the new version Nongshim Bowl Noodle varieties.
#759: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Savory Lobster (New Version)
There’s quite a few of these to review since the new design and flavors! Was surprised that my son (who by the way has his own blog at www.AndysLEGOStuff.com ) was up for trying some Lobster flavor noodles! I’ll steal a bite and a slurp and see how they are.
#752: Meet The Manufacturer: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Savory Soup Tempura Udon Flavor
#750: Meet The Manufacturer: Nongshim Bowl Noodles Spicy Kimchi Flavor (New Version)
I figured for Meet The Manufacturer Week: Nongshim, I would start with a Bowl Noodles I saw get made while I was at their plant! They were cranking them out en masse! I’ve reviewed the old packaging / version in the past and these new ones are very different. They’re made to be cooked in the microwave, so that’s how I’ll cook them.
#721: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Savory Soup Beef Flavor
The nice folks at Nongshim were kind enough to send some samples of this new beef variety recently. Haven’t tried any of them since they’ve gone with the new outer packaging! Let’s give it a try!
#512: Paldo Big Bowl Noodle Authentic! Hot & Spicy Instant Noodle With Soup Base
Hey it’s the 600yj post! That’s overall – not just reviews obviously. Okay so this is one really big bowl. It’s about the size of a 45 RPM record! About as deep as a regular bowl noodle. Been waiting for the right day for this one – I’m sick and my nose is clogged and sore throat, aches and pains, etcetera. This should do the trick – hot and spicy Korean noodles!
#488: Kailo Brand Big Bowl Noodle Instant Noodle Crab Flavor
So here’s another one of these big bowls! Crab flavor sounds nice!
Again three packets of seasoning – clockwise from top: veggies, seasoned oil and dry powder seasoning.
#487: Kailo Brand Big Bowl Noodle Instant Noodle Artificial Chicken Flavour
Here’s a new brand – Kailo! This is a big bowl of noodles too – and what an odd image on the front. But hey, how can chicken be fouled (it’s already been fowled HAHAHAHAHA – bad I know but I’m full of noodles now) it’s such a basic flavor. So here we go! UPDATE – This stuff is actually ABALONE CHICKEN – that explains a lot.
#453: Nongshim Savory Bowl Noodle Chicken Flavored Noodle Soup
So I thought I’d tried every single variety of these but I found yet another in California! This is just chicken – not spicy chicken. So here we go with the noodling!
#438: Samyang Ramen Beef Flavor Big Bowl Noodle Soup
So here’s something good I’m sure! Haven’t ever seen this popular Korean beef ramen in a big bowl before – let’s try it!
#398: Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup Beef Flavor with Vegetable Instant Noodle Soup
So here’s perhaps the last or maybe next to last of the Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup line. These have been really good!
#387: Nissin Bowl Noodles Rich & Savory Beef Flavor
Well this should be a tasty and tame one after the horror of the zero star review #386. So on we go with some beefiness!
#359: Nissin Bowl Noodles Hot & Spicy Beef Flavor
So here’s one we got a Megalomanianmart the other day. Was nice to see there was another flavor out there; I think this stuff’s pretty okay. One thing I noticed – the other two I’ve reviewed say ‘with chicken’ or ‘with shrimp,’ and this one just says ‘beef flavor.’ Kind of interesting I thought.
#348: Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup Kimchi Flavor
So here’s another one of these by Paldo. It shall be today’s breakfast/lunch.
One solitary packet of love.
#346: Paldo Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Artificial Chicken Flavor
So I’ve reviewed a lot of bowl noodles. I’m confused as to how Paldo, Samyang and Nongshim all have them and they’re all called bowl noodle. Spicy chicken is pretty common – let’s see how this is.
#302: Samyang Bowl Noodle Soup Yukgaejang Ramen Picante Beef Flavor
Well, I’d sworn I’d had this before but nope! That was the Nongshim stuff. Curious if this stuff is as good…
#291: Nongshim Gourmet Spicy Shin Bowl Noodle Soup
Shin Bowl. So this should be exactly like Shin Ramyun but in a bowl, right? I’m going to figure it isn’t because the noodles usually seem different with bowl noodles.
#260: Nissin Bowl Noodles Hot & Spicy With Shrimp
Some hot & spicy up in here!
Clockwise from top left: powder soup base, veggies and shrimp, ‘soup booster.
#253: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Seafood Flavor
At long last! Yesterday we found the elusive Nongshim Spicy Seafood Bowl Noodle Soup!!! Very awesome! There’s a review of the place we found it at under the Where to Get It tab up top – check out HT Oaktree Market! Now check out this review of Nongshim Spicy Seafood Bowl Noodle!
#224: MAMA Instant Bowl Noodles Artificial Pork Flavour Base
Happy bowl of artificial pork flavor noodles! Awesome!
Oil and powder and chili powder and veggies…
#217: Samyang Bowl Noodle Soup Korean Kimchi Flavor
So if you follow my reviews you’d notice that Nongshim makes what looks to be almost the exactly same thing. Weird. But I suppose competition even in the world of instant noodles is fierce. So many varieties of noodles – one must stand out!
#213: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Artificial Lobster Flavor
So found the sixth of seven varieties of Bowl Noodle! Kit you rock!!! She saw it at Uwajimaya in Bellevue and boom – here we go!!!
#204: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Shrimp Flavor
So here’s the last Bowl Noodle I have on hand, Spicy Shrimp Flavor. I’m hunting for the Seafood and the Lobster flavors currently. I think that’s all of them…
#203: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Hot & Spicy Flavor
So going to have another one of these today. This looks like the most basic one.
Again, only one packet.
#202: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Cabbage Kimchi Flavor
So here’s the third of these Bowl Noodles I’ve tried, Cabbage Kimchi. Some not so keen on Kimchi might not know that its not only made of cabbage but other vegetables too, such as radish. Anyways, Let’s get started.
#201: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Beef & Ginger Flavor
Beef & Ginger? Sounds really good! Surprising that I haven’t stumbled upon more packs of instant noodles that have ginger as a main ingredient – it’s so tasty and all…
#200: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Chicken Flavor
So this is the 200th instant noodle I’ve reviewed! So bright eyed and vaguely bushy tailed at 6:30am, here we go! I’d like to first thank Kit for picking #199 and #200 for my reviews and also for cruising us around and going to all of these Asian groceries around here. If you like the Ramen Rater, go see her Asian and otherwise snack reviews site at http://www.supertastysnacks.com – she just started it last week and she’s got her first few reviews up! Looking good!
#183: Nissin Bowl Noodles Hot & Spicy Chicken Flavor
Some very domesticated Nissin Hot & Spicy! Haven’t tried this kind before – hoping it’s good!
#137: Nissin Bowl Noodles Rich & Savory Chicken Flavor with Premium Straight Cut Noodles
Why not right? Some of the stuff that most folks are more used to – big bowls of noodles with easy to understand flavors like chicken and not some kind of melange of paste and rice noodles. Yeah why not.
#4958: Samyang Bulgogi Noodle Soup Big Bowl – United States
This is interesting. The other day I told someone bulgogi isn’t usually in instant noodles. As a soup? I’m skeptical on this one to be honest. WEell, let’s see what happens.
The Ramen Rater’s Top Ten Instant Noodle Bowls Of All Time 2024 Edition
This is a list I come out with every year – what’s different this year is now there’s a new rule: only one product per company. Seems fair to me – and also a way for more things to be seen. I don’t think it’s a bad idea and honestly, I think insofar as this list goes, it won’t be very hard to pull off. Anyways, here we go with The Ramen Rater’s Top Ten Instant Noodle Bowls Of All Time 2024 Edition!
#4835: Assi Spicy Seafood Noodle Bowl – United States
This sounds interesting. I know there are Assi grocery stores around the US here and there… This sounds from the name like either a jjambbong or a kind of ganjjambbong – let’s find out what we have here.
#4740: Three Bowls Of Rice Noodles Instant Rice Noodles Vegan Tomato Mushroom Soup – China
Oh yes – another one from S*Mart in Bellevue, Washington – shop smart shop S*Mart! They had a ton of these varieties but I thought I’d go with tomato to start with. Let’s begin.
The Ramen Rater’s Global Top Ten Instant Noodle Bowls 2023 Edition
Been lagging on doing top ten list editing – my apologies. The weather’s been really good for walking, and in May I did over 500 miles. I included a special post at the bottom about it. I also included something of a change from how I’ve been doing things as well involving AI. Anyways, this is the annual The Ramen Rater’s Global Top Ten Instant Noodle Bowls – these are my favorite varieties out of review up to #4440 which are in the bowl style. Hope you enjoy! Top Ten Cups and Bottom Ten lists should be coming soon!
#4432: Annie Chun’s Japanese Style Yakisoba Noodle Bowl – United States
I found this at WinCo Foods in Lynnwood, Washington last weekend. It mentions that this is Vegan friendly. I’m very curious about this; we will see how this goes.
#4342: Simply Asia Sesame Teriyaki Noodle Bowl – United States
Well, simply put, Simply Asia, thus far, things haven’t panned out very well… This is the last of the Simply Asia noodle bowls I’ve got for review, and the last couple were real doozies. Hopefully, this one will break the chain of disappointment! Let’s give it a go.
#4324: Simply Asia Spicy Mongolian Noodle Bowl – United States
The last two days of reviewing have been particularly grueling. The kitchen has been pretty warm even before boiling any water; super humid. Not used to it and it’s really quite uncomfortable. But I will continue on of course. Well, the last one of these I tried was really quite odd and so having gotten three varieties in all, I thought I should trudge onward and do the other two. I’m really quite curious what a spicy Mongolian bowl will taste like. Only one way to find out.
