So here’s the last of these I have from HT Oaktree Market. Hope it’s good – been looking forward to it!

#265: Nissin Cup Noodles Chicken Flavor
Yeah okay I know… After 264 reviews I’m finally getting to the Nissin Chicken Cup Noodles. Let’s get to it.
#263: Nissin Chow Mein Kung Pao Chicken Flavor
So here’s a new one. Let’s see how we fare…
Instructions under the plastic labeling…
#261: Vina Acecook Oh! Ricey Chicken Flavour Instant Phở Instant Rice Noodles
#252: Fortune Udon Chicken Flavor
So let’s see if this is as good if not better than yesterday’s udon.
Again I am flummoxed; how do they tell the packets apart? This one is exactly the same as the beef packet.
#231: Indomie Onion Chicken Flavor Instant Noodles
Okay so this is a nice treat – an Indomie flavor I haven’t reviewed! Was a little surprised to see there were any but sure enough!
#230: Lucky Me! Supreme Instant Mami Noodles with Free Crackers Artificial Chicken Flavor
Enjoy. Do it enjoy.
So here’s some chicken flavor bowl noodles hmm? Free crackers…
#229: Myojo Udon Chicken & Abalone Flavor
So we were at 99 Ranch yesterday and Kit picked this one for me! Let’s give it a try!
#228: Vifon Pho Ga Vietnamese Style Instant Rice Noodle Artificial Chicken Flavor
So Kit picked this and the last one – here we go!
Hey cool – quite a few packets in here – powdered base, oil, chili sauce, veggies…
Re-Review: Indomie Special Quality Instant Noodles Mie Keriting Rasa Ayam Panggang Curly Noodles With Grilled Chicken Flavor
Okay this is a very special ramenrater review here – if asked what is my favorite meal that is of instant noodles, this would be it. I have been making it and variations on it for years now. Behold the fine Indonesian treat, Indomie’s Mie Keriting Rasa Ayam Panggang!!!
#216: Maruchan Instant Lunch Roast Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodles With Vegetables
Roast chicken? As opposed to the regular chicken eh? Okay I’m game…
Powder base and veggies in with the noodles. awaiting the pain of the boiling water.
#212: Maruchan Yakisoba Roast Chicken Flavor Home-Style Japanese Noodles
So the local grocery store had four different varieties of this stuff so I thought I might as well run through them. So roast chicken huh? Alrighty…
#200: Nongshim Bowl Noodle Soup Spicy Chicken Flavor
So this is the 200th instant noodle I’ve reviewed! So bright eyed and vaguely bushy tailed at 6:30am, here we go! I’d like to first thank Kit for picking #199 and #200 for my reviews and also for cruising us around and going to all of these Asian groceries around here. If you like the Ramen Rater, go see her Asian and otherwise snack reviews site at http://www.supertastysnacks.com – she just started it last week and she’s got her first few reviews up! Looking good!
#183: Nissin Bowl Noodles Hot & Spicy Chicken Flavor
Some very domesticated Nissin Hot & Spicy! Haven’t tried this kind before – hoping it’s good!
#174: Lucky Me! Instant Sotanghon Instant (Vermicelli Soup) Artificial Chicken Flavor
Again today I asked my lady Kit to pick a couple packs of noodles to eat. The first is this one.
#163: Vifon Asian Style Instant Noodles Chicken Flavor
Okay so here’s some new stuff from Vffon. Let’s see how it goes! Hoping it tastes good!
#157: Nissin Cup Noodles Sotanghon Chicken Flavored Instant Noodles
So here’s some unique noodles in a cup from the Philippines! Sotanghon chicken – what’s sotanghon? According to Wikipedia…
#154: Nissin Cup Noodles Creamy Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup
So second in our series of cup noodles is the old standard. As it says on the packaging, they’ve been making Cup Noodles since 1971 and Nissin was the first to make cup noodles. Creamy chicken is a newer flavor – I’m sure plain chicken was the original.
#137: Nissin Bowl Noodles Rich & Savory Chicken Flavor with Premium Straight Cut Noodles
Why not right? Some of the stuff that most folks are more used to – big bowls of noodles with easy to understand flavors like chicken and not some kind of melange of paste and rice noodles. Yeah why not.
#131: Unif-100 Artificial Shallot Chicken Flavor Instant Noodles
So Kit tried the Pork flavor of this line a while back. I thought chicken with shallots sounded quite nice so here we go. I must admit it feels like there’s a lot of pouches in this one!
#119: Ve Wong Instant Oriental Noodle Soup Artificial Pork & Chicken Flavor (Mi Ga Suon Heo Khau Vi)
Chicken and pork. I have heard jokes about picken and chork made but never really thought of the two being brought together. I guess We’ll see if this combo works or not.
#539 & #540: Challenge: Nissin Demae Ramen Chicken Flavor versus Nissin Top Ramen Chicken Flavor Instant Noodles
So I thought why not do a head to head – same company, should be same noodles right? First off the left is the Demae Ramen, more of the kind that you would find in Japan or Hong Kong and to the right is the United States version. The Demae is a bigger brick of noodles and says it is one serving while the Top Ramen is smaller yet says it is two servings.
#535: Wai Wai Instant Noodles Chicken Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodle
So here are Wai Wai instant chicken flavor noodles. Hmm.
I really liked the packaging of the sachets. The ‘essence’ was interesting to be sure. The chili packet wasn’t used as my 5 year old had this bowl of noodles but i opened it and tried them. Spicy sun peppers – nothing shocking. Then, a blue packet with oil.
#534: MAMA Pho Ga Oriental Style Instant Chand Noodles Chicken Flavour
So here’s something new – pho. Chicken pho. I think this probably won’t live up to its name but we’ll see.
Lishan Food Manufacturing Co. Ltd. Chinese Instant Noodle
I got this stuff literally a few years ago and it’s been sitting about 90 miles away in a dark cupboard since. It’s a strange one.
#110: Lucky Me! Artificial Chicken Flavor
So here’s a little pack of noodles I picked up at H Mart by Lucky Me! brand. Good ole chicken flavor.
#104: Maruchan Chicken Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup
So yeah – really. I haven’t reviewed the standard chicken flavor Maruchan seen on every store shelf from here to hell and back. So it’s time. Chicken time!
#101: Ve Wong Instant Oriental Noodle Soup Artificial Sesame Chicken Flavor
So if I’ve counted right, this is ramenrater review number 93. 93 different kinds – holy crap… Once I get to 100 I’ll put on a pink tutu and wet my pants or something I don’t know… Anyways, here’s some Ve Wong Sesame Chicken flavor.
#94: MAMA Artificial Chicken Flavour Oriental Style Instant Noodles
Okay so first off, here we go with the MAMA noodles. I really didn’t expect to like these but what can I say – not too bad. Mi Ga it says on the top left – Ga means chicken in Vietnamese – I know that much. Interesting as this is a Thai product.
#88: Paldo Korean Noodle Chicken Flavor
So I think its kind of funny – the last ramen I rated was Wai Wai Tom Yum Shrimp – it used only 1 1/3c of water. This stuff used 2 3/4 cups – the most called for yet! This is Paldo Korean Noodle Chicken flavor. This’ll be my first review of a Paldo product.
#80: Unif / Tung-I Artificial Chicken Ramen Noodles
Hot out this morning! Walked over to 99 Ranch for my daily fix.
I was in the mood for something a little different and picked something new and kind of safe. My stomach’s been a little funky – gut-bomb burritos in enchilada sauce and ice cream last night I wager.
#64: Sapporo Ichiban Japanese Style Noodles & Chicken Soup
Lime green. A pleasing color to the eye however not one I would triangulate with chicken flavored instant noodles. This is really the only oddity I found here as I sampled Sapporo Ichiban’s Japanese style noodles and chicken flavored soup.
#59: Maggi Chinese Noodles Lemon Chicken Flavor
Maggi: Chinese Noodles Lemon Chicken Flavor
Stars: *** 1/2
Country of origin: India
Seasoning: 2 Packets, 1 dry 1 oil
Noodles: Wheat flour
#53: Indomie Chicken Flavour Cup Noodles
Indomie: Chicken Cup
Stars: **
Notes: A little too salty for my taste; was missing some important things like really tasty flavor and seasoning oil. I suppose that’s the trade-off when having a small cup-o-noodles style cup. However, one of the coolest things in the ramen industry is the Indomie Folding Fork, which is included. It just folds and snaps into place! Sturdy too. So yes, it’s worth it for the fork.
#52: Indomie Chicken Curry Flavor
Indomie: Chicken Curry Flavor
Stars: ****
Notes: Ah now this stuff is classy. First off yes, it tastes like curried chicken. There’s oil, cabe [chili powder], fried onions, and bumbu sauce [the powdered base]. Another fine Indomie product to be sure. Best with a couple small pieces of BBQ pork on the side, a fried egg on top and some pickled ginger garnish. Get it here.
#47: Indomie Jumbo BBQ Chicken
Indomie: Jumbo BBQ Chicken
Stars: ****
Notes: It’s pretty good – a big bowl of noodles that don’t really taste like barbecued chicken. However, it’s flavor is quite good and reminiscent of the Satay variety. Get it here.
#44: Indomie Rasa Ayam Spesial Special Chicken
NOTE – there is an updated re-review of this pack – much better! 12/09/2011
Indomie: Special Chicken
Stars:****
Notes: Beats the living hell out of the domesticated ‘Top Ramen Chicken’ flavor. Although it does lack a soup base as do all of Indomie’s products but the special curlies, it’s very chickeny and great with eggs and even better with a bit of chicken. Get it here.
#42: Ve Wong Kung Fu Chicken Flavor
Kung Fu: Chicken Flavor Stars: *
Notes: Well, as far as this stuff goes, I can truthfully say NOTHING SPECIAL GPING ON HERE. I really was hoping I would be able to beat up bad guys and work it like Jackie Chan after eating it, but this was not even remotely the case. Basically a bowl of chicken flavor noodles. Very much like your standard Americanized noodles you’d find in a big supermarket.
#28: Nissin Chikin Instant Ramen Noodles
Nissin: ORIGINAL – 1958
Stars: *****
Notes: This is where ramen noodles all began. In fact, this is what
really got me into noodles. A long long time ago, I was able to get
Nissin brand ‘Roasted Ramen’ noodles at the normal supermarket.
For ages I tried to find it again, but finally found it at the local
oriental grocery. This stuff is awesome – it’s got the seasoning in the
noodles. You can also eat this stuff uncooked – like potato chips,
or sprinkle it on salad etc. This is a score – try it!
#11: Six Fortune Chicken Flavor Instant Soup Noodle
Six Fortune: Chicken Flavor Instant Soup Noodle
Stars: **
Notes: Your basic chicken flavor noodles. The only reason it got two
stars was that it had pretty good noodles.
