Mom’s Dry Noodle has been rolling out some fantastic noodles for a long time. This year, they hit the #2 spot on my top ten global list with their phenomenal chicken noodle soup with hua diao wine and scallop. Now they’ve got two new varieties to try! Let’s check ’em out!
Every once in a while, I get to see stuff that consumers might see overseas, and this is one such time. This was a neat package full of promo stuff Prima Taste made this year, celebrating their 7th time leading the pack on my top ten list! If you haven’t tried their laksa, I highly recommend it (obviously). I really love getting this kind of stuff – thank you very much!
Lots of people enjoy bowls full of noodles from around the world. They often come with a utensil, and all you need it hot water. For a quick meal, they’re hard to beat insofar as convenience. Some bowls however go above and beyond a utilitarian sense and are truly gourmet. This list is comprised of my favorite bowl varieties from all reviews up to #4120. First off, I like to do things with noodles and my bread machine. I thought for some reason making a loaf in the shape of a fish would be a good idea. I get these ideas out of nowhere – call it a divine vision if you want, but I wouldn’t go that far. But it hit me and so I figured I ought to go for it.
Hey look! It’s a Taiwanese product specifically for the US market. This one is a spicy sesame paste dry noodle – this should be good! Let’s give it a try!
This is another one I found a couple days before Lunar New Year. The bar code came up with nothing which was a little troublesome, but I did manage to find the website on the packaging. The XO definitely is a reference to XO sauce, and it being blue and pics of the bowl definitely mean it’s gotta be XO sauce seafood. At least, I think so. Let’s check this one out!
Here’s a Vegan variety that was sent by James from Lakeside, CA – thanks again! So these are very thin dry noodles from Taiwan. Usually they’ve been hit or miss, but we shall see. The sick continues. At some point soon, we’ll know if we have the COVID or not. Let’s give these a try.
Definitely not ramen, but something interesting from a domestic company known for ramen. Found this at Uwajimaya in Bellevue, Washington when I was picking up some narutomaki. Let’s check it out!

An apron, glasses, and a sunny demeanor. Yes, this is Uncle Fun. Fun? Foon? I’m guessing it’s pronounced Foon. When I opened this, the aroma was definitely nice. But what was difficult was the cooking part. I found a new way to image translate, but it was through google, so very confusing. Boiling noodles in cold water seems a little strange to me, but they’ve got some mad tech in China, yo… I hope I can figure out how the heck to cook this stuff… UPDATE – big thanks to Kyle K. over at Mom’s Dry Noodle for huge help in cooking instructions!

Had this just over 7 years ago – it can take another shot. Well, this is one I’ve enjoyed very much in the past – a Top Ten list variety. I think revisiting this with a heap of cheese is the right thing to do.

So far, I’ve been pretty happy about Mamee’s Ghost Pepper range. Well, This one happens to be spicy mushroom flavor. I’m not incredibly fond of mushrooms; I’m alright with the texture, but the flavor generally kind of puts me off. That being said, I have experienced mushroom varieties I’ve likes, so hoping this is one of those. Let’s give this one a try – there will be a mukbang video below as well…

Well my friends, this is it. This is the last of the Aces/Huy Fong Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup varieties. The first two were good; especially the chicken – that was dare I say yummy. Now we only have a short time left, and it’s with beef. Let’s savor it. Here we go…

Wow – it’s been forever since I had this one, so it’s getting a fresh and new review today. Namja mean’s it’s for men in Korean – sorry ladies! I dunno though, it could be an ingenious marketing ploy – tell women it’s not for them, they might just go and eat copious amounts of it to prove that they can handle the heat and garlic. What’s interesting is that I would say when it comes to gender specific ramen, I would say I’ve seen more that are purposefully geared towards women. Anyways, let’s check this one out!
