I got an email a week or so ago from a guy named Charles who’s deployed over in Afghanistan asking if I’d like to try some noodles he didn’t think I’d reviewed on the site. He sent them and here they are!

Saw some varieties on Amazon recently I’d never heard of before. Thought I’d introduce myself to the seller and see if they had any samples they could send.
Recently I heard about this recipe using Samyang Foods Budalk Bokkumyeon (Hot fried chicken flavor ramyun). I only have one of the bowls so I needed at least onhe more so I could do a regular review as well as try the recipe. I asked a friend at Samyang Foods if they could possibly send some more and I got a yes! Today this box arrived.

So Monday I received a package from Mr. Ichiro Yamoto. He was also on God Of Patena, the show I was on too! He sells unique instant noodles in Japan and was kind enough to send me some really great varieties! Thank you!
I got an email in April saying a package was on its way from a fan of The Ramen Rater in Indonesia – in late March! Today when I checked the mail, there was a note saying a package was in the office. So my son and I walked up to the office and here’s the package! After sixty-six days of travel via Seamail, it is here!The sender wishes to remain unnamed, so I will just say thank you very much! So the outside of the box was covered in a woven plastic covering.

I recently got a nice box of noodles in the mail from a gentleman named Martin from Wales. He has rasked me with trying Marmite, something he has said he hasn’t heard of anyone not native to the UK being able to palate. I’m going to have to try it!

Upon opening, I was greeted by a big envelope.
It had information about all of the included instant noodles – very handy!
Woke up to an email from Stan at eMart telling me he had sent some samples and that they would possibly arrive sometime this week. A little later, there was a knock at the door and a USPS guy asking me to sign for a box – a big box!
Here’s one of the new Maruchan Bowls that they recently sent samples of. The only Maruchan bowls I’ve had before were only made in Japan – like the Midori No Tanuki and the Akai Kitsune Udon, both of which are in the Top Ten Instant Noodle Bowls list. Today I’m having the chicken variety.

Scott A. over at Nissin Foods USA sent a couple new items – Habanero Lime Chicken and Habanero Lime Shrimp Big Cup Noodles, Spicy Teiryaki Beef Chow Mein and a couple from Japan – another Nissin Raoh (this time miso) and the pack version of the Nissin Raoh Rich Soy Sauce & Backfat!
