Well, this looks like a lot of insanity! Here we go!!!
Wait – I thought this was pork and seafood flavor, not shrimp flavor…
So here’s one my lady Kit brought me back from California! Cup Noodles Chicken Vegetable time!
Check this one out! This is manufactured in California. Not foreign! Interesting… Let’s give it a try!
Another one from California! Thanks my lovely Kitten! So this should be good I hope! Onward!
Yep! Another Maruchan variety. Roast Beef! Shall we begin?
One packet of fun.
The powder in the bowl awaiting the cooked noodles and boiling water.
Here’s another new one brought from California by my lovely lady. Thanks, Kit! On with the review!
So my friend Todd hooked me up with this stuff – thanks man! Haven’t seen this one before, so let’s give it a try.
Yeah – seriously. I’ve always liked this kind of thing – I know Nissin Top Ramen had a variety in the past too… So let’s try this out.
So this is the second of these – I imagine there’s a chicken one too.
Today, my lady Kit decided to try one so I sneaked a taste so I could review it. This one was interesting as the last one I’m afraid…
So my lady found this one at a supermarket a couple days ago – we go there all the time so I’m thinking this is extremely new so Check it out!
So what a shocker – we were strolling down the aisle of a big box grocery store and saw this sitting there. I like how they incorporated the Mexican flag into the packaging too! While trying to find a commercial for the last review (#319: Maruchan Oriental Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup) I found a TON of homemade videos for Maruchan Instant Lunch as well as official ones. It was insanity! test
So my son is over today and he loves noodles too, so I get a bite of his and get to review it while he gets to eat it. It’s a fair deal I think! So here’s Maruchan Oriental – and yeah; it is a surprise that I haven’t reviewed it isn’t it?
Here’s something new – was blown away that I hadn’t noticed it before. This is kosher ramen! It’s made in Canada for a company in Los Angeles called Tradition…
So going to have another one of these today. This looks like the most basic one.
Again, only one packet.
So here’s the third of these Bowl Noodles I’ve tried, Cabbage Kimchi. Some not so keen on Kimchi might not know that its not only made of cabbage but other vegetables too, such as radish. Anyways, Let’s get started.
Beef & Ginger? Sounds really good! Surprising that I haven’t stumbled upon more packs of instant noodles that have ginger as a main ingredient – it’s so tasty and all…
Click image to enlarge. Slightly spicy. The mushrooms don’t actually have a lot of flavor. The mushrooms were a bit mushy. There’s some yellow stuff that I don’t know what it is… The little yellow bits taste like egg… The noodles are good but they’re hard to eat – they don’t want to stay on a fork and are slimy. I wouldn’t say this stuff is anything special. 2.3 out of 5 stars. Get it here.
So this looks to be one of the more exotic flavors out there as far as the more ‘domesticated’ ramens go. What I find curious is whether this is marketed towards the Hispanic or the Filipino populations. The combination of chili and lime are popular in both cultures and products marketed with a pepper and a green lime are very common.
Okay so I was falling asleep the other night and thought to myself “I wonder if there is pork flavor ramen… Does it exist, and does it taste remotely like pork?” Answer: yes there is and other answer is not really.
Sapporo Ichiban: Shrimp Flavor
Stars: ** 1/2
Notes: Wasn’t all that jazzed about this stuff – I do think I like the Maruchan Shrimp a
tad bit better. The difference however, is that this package of noodles is very
dense – lots of noodles! A plus, but not enough to make me stoked. Get it here.
