Recently, Noodie send samples of their Peanut Chili Irresistible Ramen – great stuff! Well, they followed up with a 3 pack showcasing all three varieties – check em out!

#3973: Nissin Raoh Artificial Tonkotsu Flavor Ramen Noodle Soup – United States
Here’s another one I found at Uwajimaya a couple days ago when getting some narutomaki. I think the last time I tried this it was called Umami Tonkotsu. Anyways, ;et’s give it a go!
#3964: Vida Food Group Pozole Chicken Flavor Instant Ramen Soup – United States
Here’s the second of the two Vida Food Group varieties that were sent. I was somewhat familiar with what Menudo was, but aside from seeing a meme online, I know absolutely northing about Pozole. Wikipedia, if you please –
#3958: Souper Chow Mein With Soup Stock – United States
Here’s one that was in a box from Exotic Noods. They have monthly subscription boxes that are rad – full of varieties from around the world! If you want to get one, don’t forget to use the coupon code THERAMENRATER for a discount!
#3948: Yamasa Artisanal Ramen Broth Miso & Jongga Ramen Sari – USA
So this is an interesting one today. Yamasa sent me some ramen broths and I found this simple block of instant noodles from Jongga to pair it with. Both products are either made in the United States or just for the US market. Time to make some miso ramen!
#3945: Nissin 50th Anniversary Top Ramen Chicken Ramen Noodle Soup – United States
I’ve of course reviewed Top Ramen chicken flavor before. However, this is a special release version for their 50th Anniversary. Since 1971, Nissin’s been churning out Top Ramen – and I really appreciate that. The first variety I tried was a Nissin product, which is fitting since they were the makers of the first instant noodle in 1958. Let’s pay tribute and required honor to this, the noodle that introduced the United States to instant noodles.
#3877: Panda Signature Ramen Noodle Soup Picante Chicken Flavor – United States
Here’s another Panda Signature product to check out. These are new at Walmart and this is the first one I’ve gotten there. A lot of controversy in the Walmart world of instant noodle fans. Let’s check this one out!
#3825: Chef Woo Sweet Chili Togarashi Ramen – United States
Here’s a neat one made in the USA! These cups have 20g of protein in them! Flavor sounds interesting too. Let’s check it out!
#3824: Snapdragon Vietnamese Beef Pho – United States
Here’s I think the last one from James of Lakeside, CA. Thanks again! Pho sounds nice – we shall see! Let’s check it out.
New Congee From Mr. Lee’s!
Mr. Lee’s Noodles started out in the UK. Priding themselves as a healthier option, they use freeze dried ingredients to give a better taste and freshness which is really quite a nice departure from the norm. Their varieties of noodle products are rice noodles, so they made the connection to offer congee varieties as well – let’s check them out!
#3922: Aces Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup Chicken – United States
Here’s the second of the three Aces / Huy Fong Sriracha sauce varieties (after this there’s still the beef too). The original was very nice – let’s see how the chicken fares!
#3912: Aces Sriracha Ramen Noodle Soup – Original – United States
Well, would you look at that! An officially licensed Huy Fong Sriracha sauce variety. Sounds good to me – let’s see how it tastes! Very curious about this one Let’s hit it!
#3889: Maruchan Wonton Soup Spicy Chicken Flavor – United States
Well this was a little unexpected – found this at the Uwajimaya in Renton, WA. Yeah, it’s not instant noodles, but I figure it was definitely unique and should be checked out, so let’s give it a try.
#3880: Han Ramen Noodle Soup – Russian Federation
Found this one at Evergreen Asian Market up in Everett, Washington. I don’t often make my way that far north for instant noodles but I did find one or two things there (including Chocolatey Tree Stumps). This one is made in the Russian Federation for the US market – even says on the label which I find interesting. Anyways, let’s check this one out!
Happy Fourth Of July! Top Ten American Instant Noodles Of All Time 2021 Edition
As it’s the weekend of the Fourth Of July, I thought what better time to repost last year’s Top Ten American varieties list. Hope everyone has a good weekend! By the way – from July to the end of the year, lists get the following year’s date on them, so this list came out in 2020. A little confusing, I know… Check the bottom of this post for some special announcements including a series of instructional videos geared to help you elevate your ramen cooking! Happy Fourth Of July to all!
#3858: Paldo Jumbo Instant Noodles With Flamed Beef Soup – United States
This one gets the USA tag since it’s an export version for the United States. It’s from South Korea though – spicy beef! Sounds great for a Friday – let’s check it out!
#3849: Muso Organic Ramen Shoyu – United States
This one’s made in Japan, however it’s definitely for sale in the United States and so that’s why it’s getting that country at the top. I found this at a local grocery store this morning and have been thinking about giving it a try. Well, today’s the day – and it’s going to be a post featuring the 1001st episode of Instant Noodle Recipe Time – one probably very hurried as my kids are doing online schooling and everything is such a rush with what I do these days. It will be interesting to look back at this time in our lives. Hopefully somewhat findly, but with some relief. Let’s check this one out.
#3847: Chef Woo Thai Lemongrass Ramen – United States
I’ve been spacing these out a little bit. They’re really fascinating to me. I discovered the Ramen Express By Chef Woo a while back at a local grocery store – these products are very different – and quite good! Good for Vegan folks, plus 20g of protein in a cup which is pretty neat. Definitely worth a try. Let’s see how this one pans out!
#3845: Nongshim Shin Black With Beef Bone Broth – United States
I hear it already – ‘but it’s from Korea!’ Look. Just humor me. Look. Lower left. Made in USA. Unless you visited South Korea and brought some back from Canada (they’re probably from their Chinese factory if so), then you’ve been eating Korean style instant noodles made in Rancho Cucamonga, California. Their factory is a really neat place – first one I ever had the fortune to visit and it was really neat.
#3839: Nissin Hot & Spicy Fire Wok Scorchin’ Sesame Shrimp Flavor – United States
This is the second hottest offering of this new Fire Wok line. I’m very curious about this one – Nissin sent this one unannounced along with the other two. Let’s try the next to hottest of the three.
#3836: Panda Signature Ramen Noodle Soup Creamy Chicken Flavor – United States
Well, here’s another one of the Panda Signature varieties that were sent in by a reader – thanks again! As it turns out, our local Walmart Market has these now too. I’m guessing these have been phased in at all the Walmarts everywhere around the United States. Still pretty surprised by that. Many people have voiced how they dislike these, and this one in particular. Then again, some have said they like these products. I must admit, I’ve not had so many folks comment on a new variety on the market as much as with these, most likely since they’re at Walmart. I’m guessing they have the same price point the previous ones had? Well, let’s give this creamy chicken one a try!
#3831: Panda Signature Ramen Noodle Soup Spicy Shrimp Flavor – United States
A big thank you yet again to Daniel from Montana for shooting these over! I found that there’s a HALAL stamp on the back of these mentioning Malaysia, so I can only surmise that’s where these were made. Packaging is definitely for the US market. Let’s check it out!
#3823: Nissin Cup Noodles Stir Fry Hot Garlic Chicken Flavor – United States
Recently, Nissin USA sent an unannounced box, which has a take out bag with a stapled receipt and new varieties of their popular Cup Noodles Stir Fry range. Hot garlic sounds really good – and I have some chicken! Let’s hit it! By the way – 2021 is the 50th anniversary of Cup Noodles!
#3790: Ramen Express By Chef Woo Chicken Flavor – United States
I recently tried the pack version of the Hotter & Spicier and was very pleased – I have to say I liked that pack much better than the cup. Curious if the chicken flavor will have the same effect. Let’s find out!
#3787: Cheetos Mac’N Cheese Cheesy Jalapeno Flavor – United States
I know, I know. It’s not ramen. No. I know that it’s not ramen. But these things are a trip -here in the United States, it sure seems like Cheetos and ramen kind of have a weird relationship – just look at Instagram. Also seems like adding hot dogs and enjoying with a malt liquor is popular for some too.
#3784: Nongshim K*Army Stew Style Noodle Soup – United States
Okay so the pack version of this budae jjigae is just all around wonderful. Time for the bowl. Big thanks to Dennis over at Nongshim for shooting this over! Let’s give it a try.
#3781: Tapatio Ramen Noodle Soup Chicken Flavor – United States
Here’s another one of the cups the folks at the company sent – thanks you very much! The Tapatio guy always seems so awake and well rested. Let’s see if the spicy heat will wake me up!
#3778: Helper Mac & Cheese Bold Cheesy Pizza – United States
The four fingered hand with a face brings you what you never knew you needed – a microwavable cup of mac and cheese with pizza flavor.
#3776: Chef Woo Braised Beef Flavor Ramen – United States
Here’s one from the folks that also bring you Ramen Express. This cup has 20g of plant protein – which is a lot. Let’s check it out!
#3775: Tapatio Ramen Noodle Soup Shrimp Flavor – United States
I’ve reviewed the bowls, now here come the cups! This is a shrimp variety and should be a good one – let’s find out!
#3773: Ottogi Mac & Tomato Spaghetti – United States
This one came by way of Exotic Noods! Check ’em out and use coupon code THERAMENRATER for a nice discount! While made in South Korea, this one’s made for North America and distributed by Ottogi’s American arm. Sounds like fun – let’s give it a go!
#3763: Nongshim Soon Miso & Tofu Noodle Soup – United States
Another expansion of the Soon range. Very curious how this one will be – and I even have some kimchi on hand. I’ve been replacing snacks with kimchi – been enjoyable to say the least! Let’s check this one out.
#3750: Nongshim Soon Kimchi Noodle Soup – United States
I’ve long been a fan of the Soon line of products from Nongshim. If asked whether I’d want Shin Ramyun or Soon, I’d hit the Soon. Why? It just has a really nice smooth finish (it sounds like I’m describing a beer but really it does). This time they’ve got a trifecta of new versions – kimchi, a spicy tomato and a miso tofu. Today kimchi is on the menu – let’s check it out.
Meet The Manufacturer: #3749: LonoLife Chicken Bone Broth Noodle Soup – United States
Here’s the second review of the series. Again, we have 20 grams of protein in this one, coming from the inclusion of bone broth in with egg noodles. Let’s give it a try!
Meet The Manufacturer: #3748: LonoLife Beef Bone Broth Noodle Soup – United States
Here we go with this short Meet The Manufacturer series. This sounds interesting – 20 grams of protein in a cup noodle? That’s pretty good – calorie count isn’t too bad at all either. Let’s see how it tastes!
Meet The Manufacturer: Interview With LonoLife – United States
A while back I was contacted by Jesse Koltes, COO at LonoLife about a new high protein bone broth noodle cup he was developing. Well, it’s done and here’s an interview I did about the products he’s got! They’re all high protein for those looking to add more of that essential to their diet.
#3731: Cheetos Mac’N Cheese Flamin’ Hot Flavor – United States
Here’s the other spicy variety from the Cheetos Mac’N Cheese series. I should note that we tried the non-spicy regular cheese flavor today. Wasn’t bad; wasn’t amazing. Anyways, I also want to point out something – this isn’t macaroni; it’s rotini. Macaroni is pasta shapen in tubes. Rotini isn’t. Just saying. Alright – let’s give this spicy one a try.
#3728: Menraku Restaurant Style Ramen “Seafood Tonkotsu” Taste – United States
Here’s one the guys at Exotic Noods sent over – thanks! Looks like you can make it in the traditional style or as tsukemen (pronounced ‘skeh-men’). Tsukemen involved noodle dipping kind of like zaru soba so I’ll make it the regular way as I’m kind of a messy eater to begin with. Let’s give it a try!
#3727: Cheetos Mac’N Cheese Cheesy Jalapeno – United States
This. This created quite a stir (no pun intended) in the Instant Noodles – The Ramen Rater Facebook group. The spicy crowd was fascinated, and the ramen crowd espoused disdain. Cries of ‘that’s not ramen’ rose up in protest. Obviously not; it is pasta – rotini to be exact.
#3723: Tapatio Ramen Noodle Soup Extra Spicy Flavor – United States
The Tapartio guy is flanked by flames this time! But wait – who is he? How did they end up with this guy on this ramen and of course the zillion bottles of hot sauce bearing the name Tapatio?
