This one’s been sitting in the bottom of the ramen box for quite a while now. Wondered how they would be – spicy? Salty? Nasty? Thready? Well, let’s open them and find out!

So here’s the second of the Gomex noodles. I’ve never seen them other than the two I’ve rated – pretty interesting. They’re from Vietnam and sound interesting, so let’s give em’ a try…

So the other Vifon Asian Styleys have been great so far – so let’s see how this one fares. I like how their packaging for this line of products is nice and colorful.

Hảo Hảo Hảo? I doubt whether John Lee Hooker enjoyed this stuff during his life, but let’s see if it’s any good.

So far I’ve been so pleased with the Vina Acecook products. Everything’s been so nice about them. So let’s try a new one – a bowl noodle this time.

Check this one out! This is manufactured in California. Not foreign! Interesting… Let’s give it a try!

Some new stuffs of happiness from the folks at Vina Acecook – we have vegetarian flavour. I’m enthused! I’m curious if this will taste like a vegetarian – vegetarian created with Japanese technology, that is!

So here’s something from Vietnam – some bean thread noodles! Chicken flavored…

So here’s a brand I’ve never tried before. Gomex is produced by Viet Hung Food, another brand I’ve never heard of before. So I suppose its time to strap on the old noodle bowl and try this stuff.

Okay so my theory here is that if it says it’s tasty, there’s an extremely good chance it isn’t. I’ve never been a mushroom fan but I’ve been coming around lately. This however looked gross to me and has been sitting at the bottom of my noodle box for a while. Today I decided no longer will I fear these noodles. No longer will I cower under my afghan. Bring it noodles – let’s see how ya are.

Phở bò? Here we go! I like the picture on the lid – looks very inviting and fresh and tasty. We shall see how it tastes! Join me won’t you? WON’T YOU?

Here’s the last of the Vina Acecook stuff I got from HT Oaktree Market a few weeks ago (sniff). Overall, I’ve been really really pleased with the Vina Acecook line and hope to sample more very soon! So here’s the beef Pho…

So here’s the last of these I have from HT Oaktree Market. Hope it’s good – been looking forward to it!

Wow this is very interesting! Pork and Tomato? How bizarre! I think this’ll be quite a different experience.

So today my nose is bugging me so I thought perhaps something chickenny would be good. Well, this is artificial chicken flavor so we’ll see. Also if you look closely at the photo, the chicken in the bowl on the package looks like its made out of plastic! Truly artificial chicken flavor! Har har!

So another day and some more noodles my lady picked for me. This one’s Vietnamese and looks a lot like pho. At least on the package.

I must admit I laugh a little when I see this brand – I like the bit of Norwegian on the front. Biff!!! Smak!!! Sounds like the old Batman TV show! Well, Let me whip out my Bat ramen pot and cook this stuff up.

Some Vietnamese vegetarian noodles eh? Why not. 59 cents is pretty cheap too. The packaging is quite engaging with all the nice looking vegetable on it!

So today I thought I’d try some more of these interesting Vietnamese noodles. Yesterday’s review was very enjoyable – especially with the little thing about ‘spicery’ on the packet. So here we go with Sour Shrimp Flavor. Yup – another really long named instant noodle pack. I’m kind of liking it.

So I thought why not – a sunny day here in Edmonds. Pork? Yes, pork sir. After my sweety had some Unif stewed pork noodles a couple weeks ago I thought I’d best try some form of pork noodles. Other than Maruchan’s entry into the pork race that is. So here we are. Quite possibly the longest name in noodles so far, Saigon Ve Wong Kung-Fu Artificial Pork Flavor Instant Noodles Vietnam Flavor.

So was thinking what ramen to pick today and then saw this. On special for 33 cents I couldn’t pass it up. I also got a 33 cent bunch of green onions for the dinner I’m making tonight so a pretty cheap trip to the ole 99 Ranch. So Onion flavor – should be interesting…

Notes: This stuff wasn’t bad – basically a typical salty rice noodle snack ramen from Vietnam. It would not do well with an egg though, as the noodles weren’t the most strong and a lot of them turned to an almost gelatinous state – not from overcooking I assure you. Other than the weak fortitude of the noodles, the broth was fine as were the dried vegetables.
