It’s been awhile since my last roundup of Chinese varieties and I thought a new one would be good. There’s been a flood of great Chinese varieties that I’ve found here in the US lately. I do know that there’s a lot I’ve not had the chance to try and would very much like to. If you’re a manufacturer or distributor of instant noodles from China, I’d love to hear from you and sample your products. With that, let’s take a look at The Ramen Rater’s Top Ten Chinese Instant Noodles Of All Time 2025 Edition.

#10: Ya Shu Xi’an Famous Foods Biangbiang Noodles
Noodle is broad and wonderful. Has a spicy, sweet, and varied texture. Vegetables include potato which works well. Included mungbean sprouts! Just sensational – highly recommended. Original review
#9: Dian Zun Crossing Th Bridge Noodle
The rice noodle was excellent – soft with a thick gauge. The broth was very savory – a great chicken flavor alongside notes of ginger and chrysanthemum. Just wonderful. Original review
#8: JTM Food XO Sauce Seafood Noodle
Noodle came out great – soft tooth and fresh feel. Nice wide gauge as well. Sauce was a light XO sauce – a delicate flavor that was really quite good. Original review
#7: Qi Shi Liu Ren Back To Henan Instant Noodle
The noodles are very wide and flat much like biang biang. They’re soft and very nice. The broth is really savory with a milkiness to it. Wolfberry mingles throughout. An unexpected treat. Original review
#6: Uncle Ya Sour Pepper Beef Flavored Noodles
The noodle is thin and light – very appealing. The flavor is a savory beef which I thoroughly enjoyed nice depth of flavor. Sourness was barely there; incredibly light but complimentary. Original review
#5: Kings Noodle Chongqing Instant Pea Noodles
The noodle was exquisite – a very thin gauge, but still had some backbone and a very good mouthfeel. The flavor was a Sichuan peppercorn backed (not overly so) with notes of cumin and a savoriness that just wouldn’t quit. Bit of peanut were very prevalent, and the golden peas – wow! Those really livened things up. Original review
#4: Hai Chi Jia Jiao Ma Guo Ma Fen
Added baked chicken, scallion, sesame seed, and shichimi. Noodle was as expected – a sweet potato thread. The broth was a very nice balanced mala flavor – not overly reliant on Sichuan peppercorn and quite savory. The rice crisp work wonderfully here and added a nice texture. Included vegetables were plentiful and delicious. Original review
#3: Sichuan Baijia Chengdu Sweet & Spicy Noodle
A thick udon-like noodle is paired with a thick sauce with a nice sweetness and a little bite of heat. Really quite tasty – really wanted to eat this all but I was good. Original review
#2: Liangchengmei Biang Biang Men
The noodles are very broad and chewy – very enjoyable. The flavor that coats them is just as savory as can be, with a very nice bit of spiciness which isn’t overwhelming; marrying flavor and heat expertly. Included chunks of TVP that is so believable it’s scary; a pure delight. Original review
#1: Ramen Talk Tom Yum Goong
A soft noodle worked well here. The broth had a nice thickness – just a little more than none which worked. The flavor was excellent; like a little of all the hallmarks of tom yum were balanced well. The octopus and carved squid were absolutely perfect which I was impressed with. Original review

Definitive Guides
This year, I’ve decided to do a special series called Definitive Guides. Recipes, trivia, history, and more on some of the most loved and fascinating varieties of instant noodles around the world! So far, I’ve got one on Nongshim’s Shin Ramyun, and Indomie’s Mi Goreng and Nissin Foods’ Cup Noodles Pumpkin Spice! Very recently, I released a Definitive Guide To Maruchan Ramen Noodle Soup. Future guides will include MAMA Tom Yum, and more. My plan is do feature one or two products from each country.
