Instant noodle cups are pretty easy to find, take up a small amount of room, and – especially for camping folks – is easily dealt with when done. I’ve had people come to me with tears in their eyes exclaiming ‘Sir! It says 2025 – but it’s 2024!’ Well, it’s the second half of 2024, so this list will be active more of 2025 than 2024. Honestly, I adopted this way of doing things when a couple of people made very good points about it. Unfortunately, once I let the genie out of the bottle on this way of doing things, rolling it back was quite impossible. So, there you go.

#10: Samyang Foods Vegetasty Noodle Soup – United States
This one was a very pleasant surprise. The noodle is great, a standard from Samyang Foods. The broth and included bits impart a very bright and savory vegetable flavor. It’s Vegan certified as well. Original review | Get it here
#9: ABC Mi Goreng Mi Instan Cup Stir-Fry Noodles – Indonesia
The noodles are light which lends itself nicely here. Flavors intermingle well – spicy, sweet and savory. This is a very good mi goreng and highly enjoyed by this reviewer. Original review | Get it here
#8: Pink Rocket Original Rapokki – United States
Rapokki is a fusion of tteokbokki, rice cake tubes – and ramyun. It’s a great combo – and even better is the sweet and spicy sauce that it’s often presented with. Excellent noodle and rice cake in this one. Original review | Get it here
#7: Nissin Cup Noodles Creamy Tom Yam Flavour – Singapore
I’m going to guess that the Limited Edition mention is only going to be on these cups temporarily. This is a great one – this, light noodles paired with a creamy tom yam broth. Best part is that they include lots of garnish. Great tom yam! Original review | Get it here
#6: iMee Chicken Green Curry – Thailand
I honestly expected a kind of boring variety here but was very wrong about that. The green curry flavored broth is absolutely luxuriant and very flavorful. The noodle suits is just perfectly – definitely not one to pass up if you can find it – nor it’s red curry counterpart either. Original review
#5: Liangshi Nara Japanese Noodles (Salted Egg Crab Flavor) – China
The noodles are thin but nicely chewy for an instant. Three minutes brought them to life perfectly. The flavor is a real show stopper – a nice blast of salted egg and a strong crab are augmented with a buttery taste – the whole experience is just sensational and very tasty. #4: Noodie Peanut Chili Irresistible Ramen – United States
These reminded me of some kind of 25th century instant noodle. Noodles are light with a slight chew. The sheer amount of vegetable is great and since they’re freeze dried they add a lot of flavor. The peanut sauce and chili sauce compliment each other masterfully. I would recommend pouring them over instead of stirring them in – I’ll definitely be doing this one again and doing so as it was hard to find the chili sauce when I stirred it all up – but honestly when I did it was just wonderful stuff. #3: Hai Chi Jia Jiao Ma Guo Ma Fen – China
Noodle was as expected – a sweet potato thread. The broth was a very nice balanced mala flavor – not overly reliant on Sichuan peppercorn and quite savory. The rice crisp work wonderfully here and added a nice texture. Included vegetables were plentiful and delicious. Original review | Get it here
#2: Mamee Chef Mi Goreng Perisa Rendang Legenda – Malaysia
Noodle hydrated great and works well. Flavor is just spectacular – lots of sweet, spicy, and savory notes. A nice basil hit to it and the fried onion garnish stirred in has a soft and crunchy nature which sends it over the top. Original review | Get it here
#1: MyKuali White Fish Broth Cup Noodle – Malaysia
Winding up at the number one spot again this year! Just love this one. A good noodle paired with the new White Fish Broth. It’s salty, full of flavor, has a good oiliness and thickness (has a feel like a chowder) and is just super good. Vegetables include little pepper rings that add a little zing. Excellent!
